Bend is a great place to be. I was just up there a few weeks ago.
The only thing I don’t like is difficulty accessing the city during winter , driving over snowy passes.
Got my eyes set on Bend, plan to move there in 2 years after grad school.
Boom💥 you are going to love it. Everyone does.
Great video, well done!
Thanks James!
How man good deals are some of the houses in bend?
Thanks for your informative videos. When I lived in the PNW I always enjoyed Bend, and it is a place we are considering for retirement, but prices have risen a lot recently, as you have noted in other videos. What do you think are the main factors that are keeping Bend housing prices 1.5-2x higher than similar east Cascade locations like Wenatchee, Yakima, Ellensburg in WA state, for example. Finally, one topic that would be of interest is your analysis of whether it is reasonable to buy now and rent out for 3-5 yrs or so until retirement, or just wait until retirement to buy but risk prices continuing to sky rocket.
At the risk of sounding like I'm selling u, I would definitely buy sooner rather than later. I think prices are only going to continue to rise. They are pulling back a tad bit right now but whe this inflation calms down a bit I think buyers are going to start buying again here in town. Feel free to reach out via email or phone call and we can discuss.
I'm in the same boat. Living in Yakima all my life and hopefully retiring in 4 years, but definitely not in Yakima. Ugh. Anyway, in June, I spent my vacation in Bend, riding many of the fantastic mountain bike trails on the west side of town. What a great place!
Thanks for the video. My wife and I are thinking about retiring in the central Oregon area, we're looking primarily at the Sisters and Bend area. One thing that really concerns us is wildfires. I know Oregon has its fair share of them but, how prevalent are they in the Sisters/Bend area?
Hey there Ken, That is a great question and honestly one that we probably should do a video on.
If you want to reach out to us via our website we can contact you directly and I'd be happy to talk to you about wild fire danger. Thanks for watching!
That point about traffic is so on-point. I laugh when Bend residents complain about traffic.
Right? Head on down to LA, at any hour, and it's a nightmare
A very informative video, but I could have done without the forced captions, which I found annoying.
Good call, we've stopped that in future videos. I'm glad you found it informative.
To expensive and getting over crowded. Lost its appeal to me.
Stop advertising Bend! Move away!
On god, get em out of here
