- SERIALNINE's ULTIMATE guide on how to install a CD009 into a 1JZ or 2JZ powered Toyota sedan using the CD-PRO CD009 to JZ adapter kit. This covers SXE10 IS300, Altezza, JZX110 MarkII. Blit, Verossa, JZS171 crown, JZS161 JZS147 GS300, and most other cars. We cover the parts needed, cutting the transmission, installing the CD-PRO, the CD999 shifter as well as installing the OS-Giken twin plate clutch, hammering the tunnel, doing the hydraulics and some interior.

Will this method work on a toyota altezza gita that came with the 2jz? Chassis code is JCE10W and I was wondering if this kit would serve my needs. The car never came in a manual
Yes this is the same car!!
Does the shifter rattle like short shifters usually do and what would be the reason to use this shifter instead of a 350Z OEM shifter?
This shifter is over 9" shorter than the OEM shifter. It's absolutely impossible to run the stock shifter in any car except the cars these transmissions came in.

Essentially the same, trans/clutch/flywheel And measurements are the same. It just looks different.
I would assume if your car got manual tunnel no trimming required
No the CD009 is longer and will still need a small amount of trimming for the CD999 shifter to come through

Yes, They have the same transmission tunnel

Do I have to do a 2nd or a 3rd gear burnout when done? And this breaks in the clutch?

You gotta, the burnout helps with the calibration of the alignment and transmission also it helps get your used to its new transmission

Does this kit also rattles like everyone says on the is300?
I assume you're talking about the transmission itself at idle or low load situations. That is inherent to the CD009 when you remove the OEM dual mass flywheel. Therefore that will happen with even IN a 350Z or G35. But yea ours rattles a bit
What clutch master are you using? People are telling me i need to run a 3/4 master (currently have a sc300 master)
We run the factory Toyota master cylinders which are 5/8. You do not need a 3/4 with our kit.
whats the driveshaft for the jzs147?
