This yard immediately caught our eye when we passed it. It is crazy overgrown, there’s stuff everywhere and when we stopped to get a closer look we realized there was something pretty crazy buried under all that tall grass that Im shocked someone would actually leave! Ive got my friend mike and his boys helping me out with this one and I’m so thankful because it was tough. About halfway through the yard we realized the reason this house was abandoned was because had a fire. It sits right across the street from a local high school and we want to make it look decent again since it’s in such a busy area. We worked mainly today on the front of the house and the right side since the very back is completely overloaded and looks like a junkyard. Thanks for watching and we hope you enjoy the video!

They are lucky the car and boat are still in the yard. Weird. None the less, good clean up.
Major improvement. The ditch cleaned up beautifully. Especially for the location. U guys couldn't have done a better job. The neglect had gone on for far too long. That was a tuff job, but the boys had fun. That Praying mantis was the largest I've ever seen. Must have lived a long time.

The Corvette is in the mid to late 70's. I would say 1976! Lots of treasures in that yard and lots of trash. You guys did awesome as always

Not a 1976. I had one and it had Stingray written on the front sides. This is a later model. Pain in the ass car, always overheating, took the thermostat out of it. Made of fiberglass, and they aren’t fast. Crap.
Great Job, as senior citizens my Hubbie and I do well to keep our yard mowed. Our aging neighborhood, now has seveeral empty houses not currently rented out and not kept up very well by landlords, we sit on our porches and look out at those eyesores every day. So I know when you go in and rescue a neglected yard it is such a blessing to those in that neighborhood. I just don't understand how communities would not condemn abandoned property such as this, haul off the vehicle(s) and sell at 'as is' auctions, condemn the building, tear it down and sell the land for back taxes etc.....Thanks for showing there are still good people in this blessed country.
Yes are the properties tied up legally. City should sell off properties. Bring in revenue and they are fire hazards also.😊
Where is this? Are those homes affordable? So many homeless and people in general needing affordable housing. There should be an app for the 50 states depicting neighborhoods with lots of empty homes but then corporate America’s would use app, buy them all up and charge outrageous prices to people.

The corvette looks like a 1979 or thereabouts. One of my favorite models. Did you look in the wooden box that was partially buried by the car? Have you been back by to see if the car and boat are still there? It definitely improved the looks and makes things look better for the school and neighbors.

Hello BB! I really enjoy watching your videos! My father was a Corvette guy and his was a 77, it looked a lot like this one, so I would guess maybe 76 or 77. It's a shame this one is left sitting outside. The place looks amazing, great work guys!🙂

@KiyoshiKane 68-72 had front and rear chrome bumpers, and 73 had rear chrome bumpers and the soft nose this one has. 74-79 has the rounded off rear with no spoiler, and 78 was the first with a long rear window slanted down toward the back bumper. It's 74-77, but i think the vette had an alarm keyhole near the front left wheel until 76, so that leaves me guessing 77

Weed eater is time consuming but if it keeps you from hitting something that could damage your mower then I think it is worth it. Great job. Bless you all for your efforts!!!

I sure would love to hear what happened to this person the story about the fire and if this person is returning. Justin your right it's unbelievable that there is a corvette, boat, and other things I saw the fountain, lion, etc. Left behind. That had to be the biggest preying mantis I've ever seen. Even bigger than the ones your boys found in a previous video. Wow! A truly vast improvement 👏 on this property. Great - Amazing job 👏👏 ! Your community is lucky to have you all. After seeing the Vette and the boarded up windows with air conditioners in them, it has me thinking someone lives there. Probably illegally. All the tall grass and weeds were hiding them,but now it will be more obvious if someone is hiding out there. Good job keeping the neighbors safer. 😊👍

What a Blessing to bestow on a house that was once a home…It’s absolutely amazing what cutting the grass & trimming the verge can reveal. You can see a figure in the chair on the porch, a dog stretched out at their feet…curtain moving in a sly breeze…sounds of a glass or two someone’s rinsing in the kitchen sink while the world drives by….

Agree that places near schools should be kept neat, as part of seeing/absorbing a standard of taking care of things in a community. Also, this is removal of vermin habitat, bug (sorry praying mantis) habitat (think mosquitoes, wasps), keeps a better attitude in an area. The ditch drainage maintenance is always important, to keep down flooding risk. You had to spend a lot of time to get that back in order. Pleased two families teamed-up to work on this. Thanks for raising the corner tree's branches. That was a traffic visibility problem with the low branches. Nice work all. Like how you organized the cleaned yard to look neat, an upgrade.

@@joeanthony9162 extended front? It has the same windshield to nose length as every 68-82... probably worth about $4-5k, less if the grass and elements have rusted out the undercarriage

Would it be crazy if the school across the street had an auto shop and they could trace down the owner and have them donate the vet to the school. The auto shop class gets it all spiffy street legal working and then holds a raffle as a fundraiser for the school.

I love seeing team work. Many hands make light work, so the old saying goes. You guys did a good job cleaning up that mess. I have done work like this over the years, and I generally try to let my mower do as much of the work as possible.
I would have made those trees pull up their skirts so I could have mowed right up to their trunks. That chain saw would have made short work of those low hanging branches. You scared me a couple of times when your mower was climbing up that grade. Hope is had a kill switch or Deadman throttle. Going down seemed safe enough. Be safe and carry on!
