Give it one or two weeks for people to start settling in and optimizing FOR Master Duel's meta. Same thing happened with Tearlaments and Purrely. You have a mix of people that are touching the deck for the first time and also people who are just putting in any defensive tools they can to deal with them.
Admittedly, I really thought that Kashtira was going to be a lot worse that it is. I’m a MD player only so hearing all these horror stories of Kash in TCG was off putting but yeah, it’s not that bad
TCG had a nightmare because their banlist is once every 4-5 months. Kash had all their cards and maxx c is ban. They play in a very different format. That’s why you can’t relate lol
Triple Tactics Talent and Thrust as well are going to be the cards to have right now. Arise-Heart is incredibly susceptible to them since its attach effect is a mandatory one. Not to mention, Shangri-Ira also triggers Thrust during the Standby Phase. In the ladder you'll be able to get away with playing standard Kashtira builds but for the tournaments you'll definitely have to start building the deck different.
since arise heart came out i started to play in my sword soul deck double fenrir, arise heart and zeus so if they use shangri they'll get fucked by a zeus made without activating effects
Give it a couple weeks. People are excited to play the new deck. But as you can see, pure Kash is not the strongest so you’ll still see a variety of other engines.
It's funny how my Spellbook Dogmatika deck from way, way back (before Judgement was even semi-limited) is single-handedly carrying me through Diamond against a bunch of Kash users. Turn 1 Jowgen/Winda lock or Turn 2 Evenly/Spellbook turbo to remove their boss mons usually gets me the win.
Kashtira is not as overwhelming as I expected. I was worried it would be Tearlaments part 2 but with other popular decks like Purrely and going 2nd decks like Mikanko, Kashtira hasn't been extremely dominating

the issue is not that, it is ariseheart itself. Unlike tear boss monster, ariseheart alone is what makes kash tier 1. And kash has crippled so much unlike when we had tear 0. Prosp and planet at 1 hurt the deck that it wont become tier 0
yep arisehart ban would insta take it off meta and i dont think kash even with all umlimited would come close to t0 the literal only thing the deck can do which is bothersome is arisehart
From what I've seen, it's easily interrupted on theosis or riseheart and the end board is macro cosmos. Unlike tear 0, which put up solemn judgement, solemn warning, necrovalley and imperm all on bodies without breaking a sweat with 2 shuffles in the graveyard
It’s thoroughly possible that people just aren’t good with it yet but I’m playing drytron in master rank. Every time I play a kash player i haven’t had much of an issue due to running outs to arise heart even though if left on the field it breaks my deck. Time will tell for sure but there are definitely ways to be prepared for it and play around it.
I will say it's nice to see punk being relevant lately as someone who's been on the deck for 10 straight months but sucks going from one of the few playing it to seeing it all the time. Bitter sweet but feels like it's a real contender on a lot of match ups. Especially after winning he first coin flip

Kashtira is oppressive, and it is worse than Tear cuz it does not let you play the game. Tear at least still allow you to do some play (without the shufflers) The reason you dont see that is because most of the decks here are already top tier Branded or Dragon link. But those are not what we only play. Watch 0:34:00. It is just another Runick.

Zone locking is definitely useful, played against a full purely board and max c on my turn. Golemed the xyz’s and I just gave them a billion cards and had double shang-ri and ariseheart and locked up all the spell zones, they had like 20 cards in hand lol but couldn’t play a single spell and they scooped it up
Really havent seen the issue with kashtira if im being honest, im a turn 2 Kaiju/scareclaw so i may be biased, but i much prefer playing full kashtira than runick spright or labrynth
Why not? It only got hit slightly in consistency (1 field, 2 fenrir) and unlike tcg, you can’t sidedeck the 1000 outs for it. Diablosis is also gone, but in tcg Ka was still around 50% in top cut with that hit. It still has a broken boss monster and crazy main deck monsters. Tbf, I don’t think it can easily out Noir, but g1st it kills nearly all meta decks (purrely, runick builds, sprite decks, etc). G2nd its strong main monsters like fenrir can easily be a threat via battle phase, it can easily run board breakers or handtraps and d-shifter can be used outside of your turn. Seems pretty powerful.
If you want to use the OCG as an example, they had to hit various different cards within that deck to regulate it, including banning Fenrir (which is at 2 rn in MD) and limiting Unicorn (which is completely free in MD), along with Wraithsoth being hit to 1 which has already happened. not that strong my ass
I actually kinds find arise heart tolerable in this format tbh. Its the spright gishiki that im having a hard time with. They now have access to some annoying combo that's added to their arsenals of "playing through anything"
kashtira without diablosis can't reach tier 1 and very bricky 1 imperm or ash they instant scoop. this deck it's not that good and going second it's very weak. i think purrely will stay at tier 1 till next new pack
Going first in the mirror is hilariously bad because of all the dumb stuff you can pull like stealing an opponent's Ariseheart, or making your own if the opponent uses a Shangri-Ira on your turn. You do want to make sure they can't spot banish with their own Ariseheart first so you can just beat over any Fenrir they might have before making a Zeus. I would not be surprised if this kind of silly play is what inspired Konami to create T-Phon.

It has a lot of gas, but the boards aren’t that strong 💪🏼. What he banished 1, then had a hand trap and zone locks on top of 1 flood. That’s great, but I can do the same shit with spellbooks? You can do that chaos, tear (even still), ruinick, Punk variations, spright. They do it better, most likely without the flood gate, but hero’s do that flood gate and things similar. There are decks that do better things is all I’m say, it’s the mechanics of Kash that make then strong and recursion, not that they make strong boards it’s the overall grind game.
i really thought there would be a lot of blind second mikanko in tournaments now that kashtira is out, even when when you see it coming that deck works really well again kashtira, surprisingly... i'm guessing that deck just suck too much to beat other decks, lol

Kashtira is still too bricky without the field spell at 3. That and 1 Imperm can stop everything without Rise Heart or an extender. It was such a good deck in TCG because of pot of P, and the field spell maxed. You burn your normal using planet pathfinder and that hurts too much. Hybrid looks to be the way. Adventure engine, P.U.N.K etc.
I fell asleep so many times from these Bricktira plays. Tho still got Branded, Live Twins and Dragonlink plays to keep me entertained. Feels like the worst Meta Weekly tourney this year. Forgot to mention the bad Nibiru plays...

Yeah Arise hasn't been so bad. It helps that it has no built in protection and is susceptible to pretty much all forms of removal
