When I lived in San Marcos I used to do the dirt climb up Double Peak 5 days a week- sometimes on foot sometimes on my hardtail...the one you were descending! In the early morning you climbed up through the marine layer and could look out at all of North County blanketed in it!

Saw you about to head up Pamo while I was zipping off the descent - Kit is looking fire! Was looking forward to seeing the Raptor Ridge DH which was more bananas than normal this year - maybe it's hiding somewhere in your GoPro :) Thanks for sharing. It's super cool to watch it back. We got the best weather day of the year thus far in North County for BWR! Good luck at UB!

really fast race, when you were having to pass people what was that about? was there an earlier start for the slower riders? or was there more than 1 lap of the course ?
There was 3 groups with different course lengths, all used the same start and finish. So the pros overlapped the slower riders riding the shorter courses.
@@jlr3636 aah right, thanks for the reply, i found it odd that the pro race could be ruined by someone who was maybe not so confident on the bike but was taking part. that explains it for me.
This course leaves me scratching my head. Why so much paved public roads? I don’t get it.

they didn't want 50 riders diving for the trail at once so they tried to slow them up first with the u-turn (mixed results)
Not a huge time loss, but pretty sure you took a wrong turn and unnecessarily rode the dirt path when you were supposed to just follow the road at 37:27
Seems like a bit of a shitshow... slow riders (how?), deplorable feed station service, people riding towards you, cars in the road...
Can't exactly shut down 120 miles of road and trail on a Sunday in San Diego my guy. Feed stations were absolutely top-notch. Go complain somewhere else.
