Wow, I sure miss this when MTV was MTV. Literally 24 hours of music videos and music news. It was still fairly new here, maybe 6 years on the air. Great times. Manhattan was the only borough that had cable in NYC back in the 1980's.
Gee, they’re so natural. You can’t tell at all that they’re reading from a script. Nothing Can Compares to 1980's and New Wave Idols as Go-Go's... When Pop Stars Were True Legends... When MTV meant a Lot of True FUN and Real MUSIC and Fresh Entertainment... Good Ol' Days...
Better ti watch this cersus tye kidern day MTV. The good ole days went artists actually sang and played their own iwn instruments. None if the auto tune business. Thanks for posting and sharing.

This was definitely near the end of June, 1986. I remember watching Belinda play the "Sledgehammer" video while we were packing up our house to move, which happened at the end of June.
Me too! I was a teenager back then, recording this while watching it, and I think to save tape space I must have kept hitting pause! I'd love to have those commercials now to view.
@@PeaceHumorMusic That's awesome. I was born in the 90s but recall recording shows and sticking masking tape to the back to label it. Wish I'd been like you and kept them. So you were a go-go's fan when they were big, can I ask you some questions? I don't know anyone who listened to them
@@PeaceHumorMusic That's bizarre, I don't see why they'd block random Belinda Carlisle clips from over 30 years ago. That sucks! Hope you're able to get a few up 🤞
and then MTV turned into the complete rubbish that it is today. No music, just endless reruns of Ridiculousness, with a splattering of Jersey Shore. It makes this 80s content look like polished gold.
jraoul I would rather watch this "beach party" than the reality junk that they show now and the 80s music was and still is fabulous only Belinda being on can make today music shows interesting and George Michael but we lost him so more than ever CZcams is crucial it is my lifeline even more than ever
@@aprilgosa5779 oh l agree today's MTV sucks. Ridiculousness is ridiculous. They should take the M out of MTV since they don't play music videos anymore. For me the best period of MTV was the late 80's into the late 90s.
Belinda and Charlotte 😍
Belinda and charlotte shared the ice cream is so funny.😊

Love her hair and she was so pretty but her Heaven on Earth look was also gorgeous
This is great. I miss the 80s

I loved Belinda chubby or thin. She was so cute.
Belinda was beautiful in those days.
She still is beautiful even now.
weird. Sledgehammer just popped into my head this morning, and I hadn't thought about it in like 20 years. then here it's first on the countdown
I'd watch hours of this cheeky amateur-ish delivery over the authentic polymers we have today.
I dig the old car commercials
I wish you kept the commercials in.

👍
Where did you get all these obscure videos???
Way back in the day, my friend and I would record MTV randomly for hours, then come back and watch it later, and just weed out the boring stuff.

@@PeaceHumorMusic RAMDOMLY? Gosh, that explains a lot WHY
MTV was a BLAST back in 1980's. Every Time Was Fun Time.
0 thumbs down
Did you hit the end of your collection of clips?? 😔
For the most part. CZcams keeps blocking several things I tried to upload. I think I have a few left that will be allowed!

@@brandon.lewis. It's mostly the ones where she's lip synching - so I guess it's the exact audio being detected.
@@PeaceHumorMusic Ohhh, that makes sense. Damn :(
Wow.....major cheesefest! This is Pretty bad
Jeff Harder this is great I was 1 year and 7 months old I missed this thank god for youtube all I listen to is 80s Pop or I try to stick to it
You mean “pretty rad!”
Wow the dialog is lame in this. Not much of a beach party. Not even Belinda could save this. MTV came a long way in the late 80s into the 90s.
