I've seen a lot of guys talking about this on the forums know one seems to favor the S pattern blades. Great information ✔️💯💪🏽
Yep, they are thin blades and wear out fast. Then they want way too much for them. Thanks for watching and commenting my friend.
Thanks for the shout out to Taryl. He seems to be a very nice guy and obvious hard worker.
Yes he is. We watch him every Sunday morning. Dinner with coffee LOL
@@RaleysSmallEngines To watch guys like you and Taryl who are mechanics and not just parts replacers restores my faith. If you don't have a tool, make a tool. If you don't have a part, find a substitute. That takes brains, not books.
@@RaleysSmallEngines Taryl's a Great Fixer upper guy but he really could stand some dental work and he also could use a haircut, lol.
@@xcalibre222 I don’t understand the need for all the bad wigs, props and make up, but viewers seem to like it. He found a formula that works and it is paying off.
Only T-Bone can pull off an intro like that! absolutely crazy. 😂😂😂😂 Tooooo easy brother
Lol thank you, glad you liked it brother
Excellent information, tips and repairs. The chart information is very valuable for sure. Thanks for all your help. Stay safe and don't fall out of the boat. Thanks for the videos.
Thank you, glad you liked it. I'm hoping that engine isn't too heavy for that little boat. LOL
Very nice information T-Bone. Don't go runnin' round callin' folks an S-hole.......lol. Great video brother. Keep it up!
Thank you. LOL I didn't even realize it until I was editing the video, i surely wasn't gonna film it again. LOL
3:42 I'm learning more about these spindles with each video. Thank you. FYI, I watched a recent video where they tested inserting grease through the new grease fitting, will actually grease the bearings on a new spindle. They used a red grease, pumped around 30-40 pumps into the shaft, and grease began to seep from both outer sides of the spindle housing. Then, they opened up the housing and inspected the new bearings and found that the sealed bearings had the original (lightly greased) and the red grease. The down side is the amount of grease you must add. However, with as much grease as it takes over the continued lifespan, only 5 pumps per spindle a year, it should increase the usable years to beyond 15 mowing seasons.
Another great one, very detailed step by step. These have been very helpful in my troubleshooting efforts. You would make a great instructor for a small engine repair course.
Thank you I really appreciate that my friend
And THERE'S YOUR DINNER!! Oh wait, wrong channel 😋. You gotta get your own outro. 👍
LMAO. Yes I do need an outro, just haven't came up with one yet. Maybe one of our viewers will come up with something one day LOL
Thanks, watching your videos is “just to easy”:👍
Glad you like them!
Great info. I’m sure parts places would not hand out that info. Thanks brother
Thank you
@TarylFixesAll must be proud of you!
Lol T-Bone got aholt to an "S" hole, electrifying ending
LOL Yes, it was shocking. LMAO
I like this Mr. Fixit guy's work! Really pays attention to details a guy needs to do this type of work correctly. Thanks!
Thank you
I save the center shafts on all of them
Good vid and info. Good man. Good on ya.
S-hole!! Can you say that? LOL!
😂LOL
Good info about the spindles. I have to do them on my Poulan Pro 42” rider when I get back home in a couple weeks. I already have the spindles and a pair of new blades. A great video as usual. Thank you sir!
Awesome thank you
Is there a link to the chart on partstree?
thanks, you saved me a ton of cash...
Thanks for another great video and the tips to make things easier!
Thank you
Great vid! Awesome shoutout! I thank you very much.
Thank you
Been waiting for a new video! Love these! They teach me so much!
Thank you
Great video, excellent technique tips. Thank you.
Thank you
Awesome 😎.. thanks
6204 is the same bearing as pallet jack load wheels. These can be purchased as solid filled for high temp resistance too.
nice work t bone
Thank you
A 2019 Cub cadet use the the same FAB shell. The problem is that Rotary just doesn't make a 50" spindle for a FAB deck. I haven't tried yet but the spindle housing and all internal bearing are the same as a 2022 FAB (S type blade). The spindle p/n 918-0691 or Oregon 82-106 (which is on backorder). These should be a replacement for the newer style spindle
Rotary now carries the S blades
@@RaleysSmallEnginescan you please include an updated chart in your notes? I have searched eBay and Amazon, but I haven't found any aftermarket s blades. I just got my new LT50 yesterday, but I'm already planning on converting it to the star blades.
@@jcewl93 Rotary Corp. Now has aftermarket blades to fit it. Your local mower shop should have them.
Cool
If you get the spindles, is there a conversion chart for the new blades? 10-16287 spindles, ZT1-50 blades. Where to buy them?
I have a Cupcadet with the 54" quick attached blades do you know what spendle numbers I would need to convert it Nothing but problems
Would you be able to confirm the spindle replacement for 618P09256? I'm not getting any returns on the 10-16287.
Just use 16287. Leave off the 10-
Wish I Could Find A Star Spindal For My Cub Cadet with the Fast Attach Blades and Spindals
I think the first entry on the list may have a typo. The 618P09620 part number I think should be 618P09260. This the spindle I have in my Cub Cadet ZTS1-42. I could not find a 618P09620 part number for spindles. Let me know if the 618P09260 is the correct number. Thanks.
I dont know if its just me, but $80 and change seems above and beyond what it should cost for low lift 50" blades---I too am stuck at the moment with S shaped holes.....and the blades off the hop from cub cadet are dull as frig....I got some Oregon blades for my push mower and they are razor freakin sharp new out of box....that being said...what is the return on investment on conversion? suppose I should drop the deck and find my S shaped spindle part number...I would think I shouldnt need more than the shaft as my mower has only seen a couple seasons.....
I need to replace the whole deck shell on my Z54. Only place I can find the parts are on shankslawn. Do you have any recommendations on where to order parts?
Try PartsTree.com my have it.
Great information. Thanks for sharing. God Bless!
Will the shaft 10-16540 (star) swap out the s shaft, or should I purchase the spindles (star) complete. my model#17ARFACT093 its a craftsman Z5400 46" zero turn
How do we balance the blade with the S-shaped center?
Very carefully
There's an adapter that can be ordered.
S-hole I don't think I've ever .... well if we are talking about another er um ... you know what I mean ha he weeee ! S-hole I just like saying it 🤣 c'mon who invented this here s-hole hahahaha I said it again 👏👏 You have a goodnight while I giggle a little more !
LMAO Too Funny S-hole LOL
I have a Craftsman T240 Turn Tight tractor I wouldn't trade it for anything else it's a little tank has a 5" turning Kohler 7000 series 22 horsepower 725cc V Twin engine 3 year unlimited hours warranty..Tuff torq transmission 46" cut..and there's more
Awesome ! Thanks for watching
3:26 I have to disagree with you. The seals on the bearings is more like a dust shield... even if you don't remove the shield the grease will go into the bearing just fine. I believe you can find a few youtube channels that have proven this true or test it yourself.
That being said, if you have the spindle open and the bearings removed why not pop the inside shield as it's not necessary.
👍👍👍
Would you print out the list for Us
Or maybe email it to me ???
👍🏾
Another of example of corporate greed w/ CEO's and marketing jerks making your life difficult to pad their pocket books!
"And there's your dinner" Everyone says you are waisting your time greasing the spindles. Watch this video, czcams.com/video/PwObkilFXN0/video.html
Thanks for commenting. This make a few comments like this, yep seen it. I'm gonna have to do my own test and video it. If I'm wrong I will admit it. Stay tuned working on it next week, it will be an uncut video when I start the test.
It says there wasn't a replacement available for my brand new Cub Cadet XT1 LT50 Fab mower when you made this video. The OEM spindle part # is 618P09255. Is there anything available now? $95 for high-lift blades is RIDICULOUS!
Rotary Corp. has them available now. We just got them in stock about a month ago. Go to your local lawnmower shop that is a Rotary dealer and they should have them for way less than OEM
