I first heard this song in 2009/2010. I used to play a ton of COD MW2 back in the day. I live in in Los Angeles, USA but had a mate that was from Slough, England. He would always sing this song while we played online together. His name was badboylouis09 or something like that. I couldn’t get over how he would always say “Jheze” One time I asked him wtf are you singing. He was like “Giggs Mate the song is called Talking the hardest.” I went on CZcams and got stuck with the song ever since. Good to see he made it big in the US. Jheeze!

@@zMxsh nah, it was grime that really changed people from using American accents but talking the ardest was what made a lot of people jump from grime to doing “road rap” street guys really came out and felt more at home on this form of rap and a lot of people stopped doing the grime thing. This style of music made known grime mcs like skrapz from church road change up their style complete and start doing a rap thing. Talking the ardest really changed up the game. Giggs really messed up the game for grime for many years. Rap in the uk was here before giggs but it was done in a conscious akala and skinny man type of flow where people used American accents or uk accents and there was hard street gang stuff before giggs but the giggs era is where the term road rap came from but road rap coming out of south London really gave rap a new direction and woke up London to what was really going on in the roads of south London.

I can listen to this track a thousand times over and over again. Lyrical flow is great, it has that South East London street slang/Jamaican dance hall emcee flow. It's great that Giggs has managed to focus his mind on writing and give us an insight to what it is like living the hustle. So many youngsters are getting sucked up into the dark side of the street because the education system is failing them through the unseen hand of opression, sometimes music is the only thing that can offer inspiration and a way out. Giggs and all the other lyricists that are doing well are a massive inspiration to an up and coming generation. One of the only problems is that what makes tracks like this so great is that it's real and to be real you have to live the life, the life that Giggs has led up to this point is not one he'd wish apon his kids. It's a bit like when George Owell went out to slum it with the down trodden and then return to write about it, only he did it through choice, when you grow up and come from an unprivelliged back ground you have no choice but to do what you have to.
