    Your videos are very easy to follow.
    Bought myself a 1985 C4 beater last week and have been using your vids as reference material during restoration and modification, cheers.
    I went with the FlowKooler pump, affordable but very good quality with aluminum impeller.
    Quite a big job but saves so much money doing it yourself

    You're missing your air pump silencer. I thought my water pump was bad but the silencer fell off and was grinding on the crank pulley. Sounded similar to yours. You might want to look for that piece sitting near the crank pulley.

    that definitely did not look easy.

    I see you did the frisbee delete on the water pump pulley, did you reuse the 4 OEM bolts for the pulley? And if so did it require washers of any sort?

  • @bergtothebo

    Why don't you show putting the water pump back in ? On my 95 C4 the pulley on the air pump is in the way of removal and the install ?

      It did not take me very long. But I have done quite a lot of them. Just take your time and it will go quite smooth

    How do you get your air out of the engine cooler?

    • @Nzchimeran
      @Nzchimeran Před 2 lety +3

      Just get the car running up to temperature with radiator cap off.
      When the thermostat valve opens , it will de air itself with radiator cap off, just watch the bubbles come up to the radiator cap inlet. When it stops bubbling, its done.
      Top up with coolant, and check your overflow/ reserve tank has correct amount of extra coolant for when radiator expands and contracts through heating and cooling.

    I don't think you had to take off half of the stuff you took off.

    • @bubbalo3388

      Normally for most cars you wouldn't. But these C4 Corvettes are a pain in the rear to work on because the engineers crammed everything in there. So I wouldn't be surprised if he needed to remove a lot of other parts or loosen them to gain access. I have an 86 convertible and I have many times had to remove other components just to gain access to something. Just to remove the valve covers for example, I was shy like a few millimeters of wiggle room so I had to undo a lot of other stuff in order to get it out. That was just the drivers side. The passenger side involved even more removal of suff.
