Marco was in much better shape vocally now, he did great. I hope all the vocal experts can STFU now, every single artist can have a bad night, he was just out of practice the first time.

This duo made me a metalhead in one night long time ago. With this exact song. I amazed how good their voices have developed with such a clean vocal but powerfull as Hell!

Oh, Finland. My the most favorite metal couple.🖤The performance in Switzerland was an emotional bomb, but Phantom in Finland is better in terms of singing, you can see that they are both relaxed. I love both of those performances. And Marko and Tarja are great. Tarja's finale is once again goosebumps as it should be. I love her voice, it's much fuller than it used to be. I hope they will work together on some new project. They have great chemistry and you can tell they enjoy each other.

18 Years later and their chemistry on stage is still there, their voices still blend together perfectly (even if they naturaly aged), it is a privilege and a pleasure to listen to Tarja Turunen and Marco Hietala duet, and the excitment of the fans shows!
I hope someday they bring back "Beauty OF the Beast", "Dead to the Word" ... or maybe "Feel for You" Oh it would be Amazing!

it's been so many years since i last checked up on tarja (and the symphonic metal scene in general). to say that this reunion (even if only for one song) was a pleasant surprise would be an understatement. if you told me, back when i first discovered nightwish in 2009, that tarja and marco would perform phantom of the opera together in 2023, i would probably die from joy.
It’s nice they keep on performing this duet on other occasions. This performance is a lot better than the one in Pratteln! But I guess it must have been the first time they stood together on stage and it wasn’t rehearsed so it was still pretty awesome.

This was a great concert. There were big stairs on the left side of the stage that Marko walked down in the beginning of the song.

Very good performance too! Both playing their roles and vocals vice. Marko goes great when Tarja does the hand gesture. Tarja's ending is not with as much effort as in the End of an Era, but otherwise she did very good.
And man it is so wonderful to see them together again (and yeah I know, not the 1st time, but still).

What a joy and happines to see them live together and with there own bands yesterday. There voices have always fit perfectly and so they still do. I saw NW in Kitee in June and I was not that impressed. No love and happines within the band and the song was not that good, and the same try to joke from Troy to speak finnish.. How many years have he done that?? Tuomas and Empuu were the only one who hugged each other. They pretty much run of the stage.
Yeah I don't really recognize the Nightwish I used to love anymore. I don't know if their hearts are still in it, but it's a machine that keeps on going and they're still successful so can't really blame them for going on either.

Floor was already feeling ill during those concerts, no wonder they left in a hurry. As fans, we should be more grateful to Nightwish, Tarja and Marko, and stop comparing them.
These two are not getting any younger.. stating the obvious. The performance in 2005 was a much younger effort and Blew it through the roof for how amazing it was. As elder rockers, attempting the same thing now, it's no less a feat what they managed here. The Nightwish Phantom with this duo is the finish cast of Phantom of the Opera. It's the school on how you do it properly. And, yes, sometimes it's really nice going back to school. Thank you for posting this!!!

Tarja sings differently than 18 years ago at her rock concerts. It's her choice, she plays with her voice much more. But she didn't lose anything, quite the opposite. Her classical and Christmas concerts let her classical voice shine.

I thought everything was better this time lol. But you seem to forget that they have not rehearsed the song together, emotions are flying high, and they are not trying to be perfect, but rather have fun.
@@FemaleMetalLover Did Tarja ever rehearse with NW? And she performed Phantom on her last tour in Finland with a tenor, like Floor, so she didn't really needed the rehearsel as a professional. It's sad she feels that she still has to insert herself into Nightwish's succes.

@@FemaleMetalLover She got kicked out of NW because of it. She was feeling too big for NW and rehearsals and there is footage to prove it. Tarja is a 1 trick pony who sounds like a cat in heat. If the new NW fans didn"t like her music in the last 20 years, they will not like it now. There are far better soprano's nowadays than her.
