    Imagine you walk in a dealership and you see these two right beside each other, first question you might have is, what's the difference?
    In this video I compare the first ever GLB and the new GLC to find out which one is right for you. I looked into cargo space, technology, ride quality, and of course the cabin noise.

    I owned the Glc and traded it for the GLB with the AMG package. I like the Glb better. The Glc had a smoother ride but the Glb drives more like sedan because it’s low to the ground. Love it. Love the extra storage space In the trunk and the technology package.

    Drove both to compare for my next car. I own a C class estate at the moment. The GLC has less interior sound and is more comfortable, you can notice the difference in price pretty easy in the comfort level. Also your own age is a big influence i think. I'm going on 50 and am not interested in quick gear shifts and fancy dashboards. I just look for comfort, that's why i drive Mercedes. GLC for me all the way.

    as a Current GLK owner, i think i speak for some of us when i say that the GLB is more appealing because its like a new version of the GLK.
    The GLK was such a success because of the boxy styling.
    i had a 2020 GLC as a loaner and its nice but i wouldn't really wana own it because design wise its not as appealing, unless its a AMG GLC63 but thats waaayyy out of my range lmao

    I was waiting for a review like this ! I have to say I am impressed with it as all my questions were answered. I was driving new XC60 for three years, then moved to GLC and driving it now. I have to say GLC is better than XC60 in terms of handling, performance (less HP but better dynamics) and smoothness of ride - GLC is much more refined in comfort than XC60. Now it's 3rd year with GLC and I have to decide the next car. Since I am on budget no longer new GLC, but GLB will fit it so I ordered one and was just worried about different transmission and noise over GLC. You got it sorted for me, thanks ! I'm almost 6'4 barefooted and the tailgate on the glc300 is a good 2-3 inches above my head when is opened all the way up. Maybe the tailgate on the glc300 in this video was programmed to stop at that height cuz I'm telling you it opens really high and I'm 💯% sure on that.

    One point to the intro - I don't think the GLB sits between the GLC and the GLE, it's actually meant to be one step below the GLC (nevermind the 3rd seat row, which is pretty much pointless there).

    My biggest problem with the GLB is the road noise. It’s considerably louder than the GLC, and makes me wish they put more noise insulation underneath.

      Maybe insulate the doors. Mercedes door panels come off easily

    Great review. Thank you. I really love the GLB and want one soooo bad.
    With the tailgate open, the GLB looks bigger!
    Sounded like you said 50.9 gallons?! 🤣

    Glb has no second row pull down cup holders in the middle? Important info you missed.

    We went to the dealership yesterday. We checked out only the GLB. The GLC was much more expensive. I didn't like the space in the back seats. It's a bit narrow and the legroom is definitely a no-no for tall people. Headroom is good though! I'm pretty sure a sunroof wouldn't be problem! Other than that, the interior is gorgeous, quality materials, pretty much all over and the car is loaded with all the safety systems you might need, even in the basic model. I wish they had more cars available. It is produced in Mexico and it needs 7-8 months to get a car configured to your taste. Really thinking about it!

      Tbf I got the a class when they first introduced MBUX and I’ve only had one problem which was fixed with an update. They put it in the entry level to trial it before launching it in their more premium cars I believe.

    I am from Europe, I have ordered GLB Amg 35. You can ´t compare those two different engines, even I understand you didnt have another option. But than, just dont compare it in way of speed or perfomance. I have tested GLC Amg 43 and I think GLB in general is better.

  • @Aladdinlt

    GLC can have all digital cluster aswell.

  • @guille4092
    @guille4092 Před 3 lety +3

    If I was a Mercedes engineer, I'd get the GLB interior and add another continuous screen for the front passenger, in which you could watch tv, netflix, etc. So, left screen for the dashboard, middle for the infotainment and right for passenger entertainment. That would be the icing on the cake.

    Does it have amber rear signal indicators? And a rear fog light?

    • @johnrobbins8093
      @johnrobbins8093 Před 3 lety +1

      The 2020 GLC does not have amber rear signal indicators (in USA model), but does have rear fog lights. Test drove both GLB and GLC and settled on a GLC. My GLC has a full digital instrument cluster. But the single-looking panel on the GLB is really great looking.

    I have one and always the GLC love that thing super fast, luxury, Confort, is a little small but is only my wife and I so the GLE was going to be just too much just us !! The GLB is not my cup of tea!!

  • @zerma6
    @zerma6 Před 4 lety +1

    If u buy the glb do not forget to take the blacked out trim around the windows so it will hide the ugly wave towards the back of lateral side. That's the only not so pleasing view of this car. The car is stunning inside and outside otherwise.

    I just got my GLB with exact package and color. The car is a beaut inside and out. Interior is so much better than GLC which is an outgoing model and that’s why I picked GLB.

      @hon solo I don’t think it’s “smoother”. However it is a smooth ride. Very spacious. I’ve driven glb, glc, gle. GLE definitely rides the best. But I’ll take the spaciousness off the GLB as the edge over the GLC. Personally.
