You're right, George Clooney was nominated for Best Actor in 2011 for The Descendants, but he lost that year to Jean Dujardin for The Artist. George won for Best Supporting Actor in 2005 for his performance in Syriana.

Ben has been VERY honest in interviews about having changed some things Some people just don't like Ben (for whatever reason, always seems like a really intelligent, clever & genuine nice guy) & so therefore can't praise him for the brilliant job he's done, not just Argo but Gone Baby Gone (fantastic film) and The Town. Sick of people having a go @ him. The Academy looked very silly not nominating him

Worst Oscar ceremony since "Crash" won best picture . Academy did many terrible mistakes. Ben Affleck the man who did not only deserve to a nominee as Best Director but also deserve to win that award was snubbed. Life of Pie" Winning Best director is itself a biggest joke .

Did you see Winter's Bone? Did you see Silver Linings Playbook? Personally, those two movies convinced me that she's really is here to stay. I just think she's very versatile in her roles. And she's genuine and really really funny. But that's my opinion ;)

The best movie of 2012 was Wes Anderson's "Moonrise Kingdom". Neither director Anderson or the film received Oscar nominations. People should stop whining about Affleck.
