      Ya, you can't go wrong for the price, and the quality is actually pretty good. Just wish they didn't skip sizes!

      @@TheHDPerspective I agree with you. I have Matstercraft 7pc metric stubby wrench set. They just offer 10~15 and 18mm. Why they skip 17mm? I really don't understand about this.

      How do you like the HD side? I know a few guys who made the switch. They say it's a good move. I'd like to be able to show some of the stuff I work on but it's just not really possible. I appreciate the kind words though, thanks for the comment.

    I'm guessing that 1/2" Snap-On ratchet in the bin is also made in Canada. I bought a 3/8" version off eBay and polished it up for a buddy who's half Canadian (newf) and half Yankee. Seemed fitting.

    • @TheHDPerspective

      Ya I believe it is too. That's a good gift! Hard to know when it was made as it doesn't have the date stamp on it like other snap-on tools.

    Hello HD Perspective,
    I just finished watching your Snap-on Epiq toolbox inventory. You have a very nice toolbox. You also have a nice start on a good collection of tools. Organized pretty well too. I've watched most of the toolbox inventory here on CZcams & finely did my 1st toolbox inventory here about 16mos ago. I have to say something negative now. Hope you don't take this the wrong way buy, you talk to much. You give way to much info on to many tools. By the time you got through with your wrench drawer I was board & I'm a tool guy. Think about who's watching these videos. Mostly other tool guys. I'm just saying. Thanks for sharing your toolbox inventory with us.

    correct me if im wrong, but in my experience, at least on most big rigs i've worked on, can't you tell if the fan hub is leaking by turning the key on engine off? i don't know much about offroad heavy equipment though so maybe you needed it in those applications....

    • @TheHDPerspective
      @TheHDPerspective  Před 5 lety

      Typically you can. The one I talked about was leaking slow enough I couldn't hear it. Only once I got the shop air directly to it and sprayed it with soapy water then I saw the bubbles.

    Lol thats the thing about japanese tools is that you can wait up to 6 weeks sometimes, and wera does have socket sets in all 3 main drive sizes. They even have sockets with a hold function like a detent that hold the fastener in, use the german amazon the price differance is huge! you can save a ton! Their sockets are made in Taiwan but I think the ratchets are still european I have the zyklop 8003 B I think it is... Its the one with a push thru anvil to change directions. I may leave a few comments btw lol =p Thanks for doing this update I asked about =)

    • @TheHDPerspective
      @TheHDPerspective  Před 5 lety +1

      The return line, pulls the fuel through the system after working on it.

      @@TheHDPerspective do you have one of those connector fittings on the end?

    • @TheHDPerspective
      @TheHDPerspective  Před 5 lety

      I usually have the fittings at the shop that I need, or I can make something up if it's something I haven't worked on before. Most of the time it's enough just to get a piece of hose big enough to fit over the return line. Doesn't need to be a perfect seal. Could always wrap some electrical tape around it to get a better seal if you need to.

    Can I get the part number for the 30MM torque adaptor?

    • @TheHDPerspective
      @TheHDPerspective  Před 5 lety

      Sure it's GSRM430 from Snap-on, store.snapon.com/Torque-Adaptor-1-2-Drive-6-Point-Metric-30-mm-Standard-Torque-Adaptor-P838110.aspx
      I noticed they now have a 12 point one which may be nicer SRDHM30, store.snapon.com/Standard-mm-1-2-Drive-Metric-30-mm-Double-Hex-Torque-Adaptor-P887917.aspx

    • @TheHDPerspective
      @TheHDPerspective  Před 5 lety

      looks like the 12 point one is 3 inches centre to centre, where the 6 point is 4 inches. Might be nicer to have a bit more length depending on what you need to torque, but the 12 point will have more flexibility with the angle. I might just have to get both!
