I thought the same thing! Holly seems like such a kind person. Spencer is so self-centered and selfish. It also made me sad because I thought about how Heidi would act if Stephanie came to stay with them and I only picture Heidi being welcoming and hospitable. Spencer's behavior on this show, be it for the cameras or not, verges on abusive.

I agree calling someone crazy is just never cool. It's such a pointless thing to call someone anyway - no one is "crazy" they're usually traumatised, addicted, mentally unwell, something that is so much deeper than "crazy" suggests. Writing people off as crazy is so 2008.

Finding out about Stephanie’s past makes perfect sense as to why Lauren wanted to start building a friendship with her. I think she has a soft spot for individuals who have gone through that because of her Jason situation.

The subtle things like adding “player” (mocking Spencer) to everything, calling Brody “Bordy” and his subtle comments like “maybe he didn’t do well at the tables” is what makes Timmy so damn entertaining. There aren’t many things out there that genuinely make me laugh as hard as I do when he says things like that 😂

Brody and Spencer may not be the exact same, but they actually share a lot of traits. Both SUPER privileged Cali boys who had everything handed to them/unearned sense of entitlement, both have misogynistic tendencies masked by a 'bro' persona, both obsessed with Lauren Conrad (in different ways). I'm not saying Brody is as bad as Spencer, but it's kinda strange how he was portrayed as the good guy/antithesis to Spencer when he really was just an egotisical rich kid living off his parents' money.
Both of them are Leos. Explains everything.

The fact that, they were doing all of this traveling and spending all of this money at only 22-25 years old, has me like, wtf am I doing with my life? Lmao, but then again, they were born rich so.
If you want to know how rich, check out Princes of Malibu: its Brandon and Brody literally doing nothing living in David Foster's mansion, who was then married to Linda Thompson, who had divorced from Bruce Jenner and he went off and married Kris.
Its so messed up when you watch it and realise Gigi and Bella Hadid are ex step siblings of Kylie and Kendall Jenner.

They have wealthy parents, yes, but at the same time particularly Lauren was making her own dough. This is around the same time she published her bestselling books and started her kohl’s clothing line. Spencer and Stephanie have wealthy parents but look at what they’re doing. Still clinging on to their 15 minutes, not accomplishing much. I always admired Lauren for her work ethic and life choices. She left TV when she was on top and started making money moves behind the scenes. Her parents definitely raised her with a business mindset.
But also, mind you, MTV paid for all of these trips I assume.

When the producers first made Laguna Beach, they specifically sought out a wealthy area with wealthy high school teens, to see if they had juicy drama. So then again it’s like, she continued to work for those things but she was given Laguna Beach, and given The Hills. If you get what I’m saying.

It’s not loophole to call someone’s actions crazy to avoid calling them crazy. It’s just more thoughtful and accurate seeing as she had an addiction. Like saying someone with a disability rather than the disabled person.
