- This special video was shot by my dear friend Bianca (@biancagreenart on instagram). We decided to shoot an ASMR process video for how I make wheel-thrown spiral cups. I call them my Cloud Cups :) Enjoy!

Your videos are always so informative, taking us through the complete process. Thanks so much
Looks so easy 😂 but i know its hard to make those spiral mugs. First time i try, all my mugs is in a bad shape 😂😂😂. Great video!
This is very relaxing to watch. Thank you for posting it. 👍🏻😊
Turned out so pretty 😍
Hey Mia, just found your channel a few days ago, and already watched most of your videos, thanks for sharing your skills with us, and explaining everything beautifully !
Yay! Thanks for the kind words :)
I like the white speckled glaze
Ugh I was in AP ceramics in high school. Took a ceramics course in college before I graduated. Miss it
I have a quick question, how are you so confident when wiring the cups off the wheel?
I use vats mostly so I can just take it off without wiring but now I must resort to wiring off my pots, do you have any advice?
Great question. It's practice I guess! It helps if the pot is fairly dry when you're removing it (you can do this by ribbing off the slip). I always tell my students to turn the wheel slow, but wire it fast! Then, push it away from you to the edge of the wheel, and get your hand underneath it. Don't worry about smushing the bottom a little as you move it, because you will trim that part anyway. Good luck!
@@PotterytothePeople its been awhile since I posted my comment and I can say after breaking a few bowls that I just needed practice 😅, thanks for responding 🦊
@@CheddarNS Happy to hear it's working out for you now!
What speed is your wheel spinning at initially?
Just curious, did you leave your fingerprints in the glaze on purpose?
yes :)
