Gerard Way has always been honest about himself and his band. I respect him a lot now for his decisions. It made much more sense now on why he doesn't want to continue MCR. He clarified that he had burst out all his feelings during The Black Parade, and after he had let it all out, he felt like he was done with the band. He made a purpose and succeeded on his intent. MCR was definitely much like therapy to him.
That band was not only a kind of therapy to him but to us fans as well and i think that the fact that most of us hve that in common is beautiful and we use muisc to help heal us at least a little bit

This was actually really interesting to watch. I was saddened when MCR broke up, but I understood why when Gerard put out that letter, saying he just wasn't feeling it anymore. But then there's this where he explained it more specifically and I like that. And Danger Days is a great album, but I feel bad now knowing that it's not something he necessarily wanted to do. That he just did it to try to continue going on. I'm glad though that he's not continuing because we wouldn't want him doing something he doesn't want to do. Whether we would have liked the music that came out of it or not, we need to remember that the guys in the band have to like what they're doing just as much as we like the results. Glad Gerard is doing what makes him happy rather than trying to please everyone else. He's so honest about everything and I think that's why people truly look up to him.

You mean its too personal for you, and you enjoy being the one of the few with the video...which isn't to say thats not valid. But I assure you, Gerard's fans are wayyyyy bigger pussies than Gerard is, he clearly has been an adult and worked past that slightly uncomfortable period in his life. I agree with root, if it was too personal for him he wouldn't be telling a giant audience full of his fans.

We were at this event (5th Oct 2013) - it was a graphic art event in a very small intimate theatre setting...they did discuss MCR but it was part of a flow of discussion about creativity. The event was inspirational. At the end of the discussion they played Gerard's song 'Millions' over the speakers (the first time and only time it's been played publicly *you can hear recordings on youtube people made on mobile phones). Afterwards they stayed for hours to meet everyone and sign autographs. Grant was way cool and Gerard was so nice & sweet (and holy crap he is so totally good looking close up). My daughter got her copies of The Umbrella Academy signed and she was so nervous Gerard gave her a hug - (having Gerard Ways arms around her was the best moment of her life so far). She says his hands are warm and he smells good too !!! xx

The day came on 31st October 2019.
I think is difficult being a artist and to not fall into the comercial thing, so I definitely admire when they took the desicion to finish the band when they saw that it was going on that direction , it hurts when I realize that I will never see any my chem show again but I´m proud about their decission and I´m going to follow each production of them after MCR. Thanks for the video it was good for reflect about my feelings after their breaking.

For me, Gerard Way would be a person who I'd look up to, I love how genuine he is as a person. So now that he has told us the truth, I am completely convinced and has moved on now from the disbandment of MCR. NOW I'm looking more forward to Gerard's next music. His lyrics will definitely be honest and less angry now. Since he has moved on, I will have to carry on as well..

When he was talking about that last album about that support group of parents that lost their kids in some horrible way to end the MCR life, THAT would have made it a perfect ending.
I think having us a conclusion would have soften the blow of the destruction just a little easier.
MCR will always be my greatest band, biggest achievement of my teenage life, and my savior. I love Gerard, Mikey, Ray, Frankie, Bob, and even Matt.
I would've loved to hear it as well, but as Gerard said, there was no joy left. I'd rather them have their whole heart in it than nothing at all. I'll never get over this, MCR for me was and will always be Gerard, Frank, Mikey, Ray and Bob :) Thanks for your comment.

I'm totally understanding what Gerard means about the whole lyrics thing. It's like you can't put out what you want. You're just emotionally frustrated and depressed. Kinda happening to me, but I got 25 pages of pretty solid lyrics and stories from my really creative times. But after a while, you start writing again but it's weak and slow. I can't even write a poem without scratching it out and rewriting it again and again and again. I'm thankful I can draw, cause it's better to put out some things that way….. idk it just speaks to me.
