- I returned to Delhi, my least favourite place in India. You meet some amazing people in India but sadly here in Delhi you'll come across countless scammers who just ruin your trip. Today I encounter the biggest scam I have had so far in India, the rickshaw scammer. Hopefully this video can help you if you decide to go India and how to avoid getting into these situations.

The regions of India vary to such an extent with Snow capped ethereal mountains aka the himalayas in the North, vast desert in Northwest, amazing plateaus in the Central region, beautiful sea coasts and tropical backwaters in the far south and mangrove forests in the east. Apart from the geography, India has such a wide variety of wildlife species many of them endangered like Royal Bengal Tigers, Rhinos, Red Panda, Snow Leopard, etc. The country has literally hundreds of different ethnic groups with languages, cultures widely different from each other for example a person of Kashmir looks completely different to a person from Kerala and both of them are again different from a Northeast Indian.Northwest India ( Kashmir- Gulmarg, Pehelgam, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh- Manali, Shimla, Dharamsala, Rishikesh) Northeast India ( Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Nagaland) Kerala, Goa, Hampi, Ellora, Madurai, Oooty, Munnar, Doodhsagar. I gurantee you guys Ladakh and Arunachal Pradesh as beautiful as China. Kashmir is as wonderful as Eastern Europe with its mountains. Ladakh will seem as some other wordly place. Look I am just recommending this places to you because these are the true gems which are unexplored by many tourists. They fail to get their true rewards of visting India and gets the worst aka the Golden Triangle of Delhi, Varanasi and Agra which is literally shit. The true diversity and beauty of India lies in its remote regions.

@@user-sn6hd4kg6b hello saar
That’s tonight’s telly sorted out ‘brother’! This will be another banger no doubt. Great content at the moment mate… hilarious viewing.
Homestly speaking even as an Indian myself, I avoid going to sucj crowded places. They are way to overwhelming and full of food thay will give you the shits. I travelled via a train yesterday and now i have the shits coz of the food i ate.
Also, id really suggest taking an auto from apps like uber and ola coz these scammers even scam indians and once i was forced to pay a thousand bucks for a 20 minute ride. When i refused around 5 guys gathered around me and considering it was late at night, i had to pay the sum for my own safety
Sounds dangerous. Stay safe brother
1000$ or 1000₹
@@Vkltmbsif 1000 Indian rupees. The ride wasn't worth a hundred but I was forced to pay that sum for my safety. This has happened twice with me in Delhi! The worst place anywhere in India. As a local I refrain myself from going to the city even for work purposes.
Very good driver, but you have nearly crashed a few times to be honest....😂😂😂
Worst driver in the city
I can't understand why people visit countries like India or Nigeria.
Noise, scammers, pollution, chaos, food/water poison risk, shocking public transport, etc.
No, I can't get it at all.
Just waste of time, money, energy and life in general for me.
I don't know why people go to countries like USA where you will get shot and killed or why people go to UK where you will get knifed and killed.
I don't know why people go to countries like USA where you will get shot and killed or why people go to UK where you will get knifed and killed.
im pretty sure nobody has ever wanted to visit Nigeria
there is channel of guy Ludo Liu,he is french living in Lagos
i watched his video him going to the beach,he had to pay even to enter beach area, then pay for bench again
you easily spend 10 $ even before you are handed first drink, more expensive than Europe
agree on most points but Delhi's metro is better/cleaner than most of Europe if you don't go for poverty hunt like most of these vloggers.
Thankyou for the content even though you were ill. I like the collab with Bald. It was a smart move and now i watch both of you guys. Enjoyed the UK rough areas too. Hope youre well.
#1 rule of visiting India bring plenty of bottled water An entire suitcase full
I think you have to travel india when youre younger. I did it in my early 20s but now im 40 there is no way icould deal with the chaos there. Im in Indonesia at the moment and no stress travelling here like you get in india.

These scammers would do my head in! People needs to do something about it and not just accept it!
Sometimes you need to experience the chaos, there’s nothing like it. Agree with Ben, get a local guide, worth every cent. I did Bangalore last year, experienced a little chaos but manageable, even on your own. No issues with scamming, hassles or ripoffs in Bangalore but used public transport.
I felt so bad for you all, feeling so ill. I cannot imagine the smell in the spice market that affected your eyes and throat, Ben. I am glad you are out of there. It looks much better where you are finally, wherever that is! A great video, no matter what. You guys are amazing.
Being detoured by tuk-tuks and charging extra fees is also one of the typical scams in Southeast Asia!
In addition, the video just uploaded by Tim Tense also shows he being scammed in a restaurant!
Traveling abroad is really frustrating, you can only rely on yourself to be careful!
Sorry to hear you were sick! Thank you very much for sharing, great job! 👍🥰🙏
About tim's incident,
The scammer was arrested by the police and fined huge amount of money. People were furious over that incident in sri lanka. Turns out that person is not even the owner. 😑

When in India on my last trip I used Uber to get a price for rickshaw trips. It’s amazing how the drivers differ from city to city…in Chennai they try and overcharge, but in Mumbai they were happy to turn on a meter.
Absolutely true
Love Delhi, what an exciting City, enjoy Ben 😊
gr8 content m8 ty for exposing the filth
I recommend India but avoid the cities, try Goa and Kerela and you will love it !! You can't judge India by Delhi, same as you cant judge UK with London.
Indeed you know very well.
Mate London is one of the most visited city in the world, it’s the capital of the world! Dont compare london with Delhi which is a dump. London is London.
@hassymiia6267 I'm not comparing London to Delhi. I'm explaining that a country shouldn't be judged solely on a City.
@@Nando_Florist even if people judge UK by London then its fine :) as UK isnt all like London with such population and buildings, although Birmingham and Manchester trying to get to being like quarter of London :)
Whereas if people judge India by Delhi it’s a big negative. As it’s a mess. Their capital!
London is way way way better than Goa and Kerela.
definition of hell for an introvert
The best tip I can suggest when you arrived in India, Bangladesh, Pakistan or what ever ... pop over to the bank and get SMALL DENOMINATIONS. The moment you whip out the big boy notes you're a target to be scammed. Carry small notes OUTSIDE of your wallet.
I'll never go to India
Kela ki boki aso
I lived in Asia for many years and this goes on in even wealthy countries like Korea and Japan. Westerns tend to be too precious about these things.
Love your videos though.
I would only give the exact amount to these drivers, they seem sadly desperate and therefore willing to do anything.
At least the kids love Ben!
Look at those coax and fiber internet cable hellhole. A german would get hearth attack here

Stop that.
You should carry smaller denominations of the local currency so you don't have to ask for change back. Solves the arguments
This!
Or the driver carries them and doesn’t scam?
@@BackpackerBenohh they forgot :) master scammers
Yep - I dont understand why Ben doesn't just grow a pair and use his brain. Just give the robber 100 rupees and walk away. Giving him 500 or 1000 when Ben knew he is a scammer is plain stupidity!!
or book from Uber
My tip for anyone visiting India: treat Delhi as an extension of the airport - leave there as soon as you’ve landed (unless you’ve got money to spend on mega hotels and private guides)
Agreed, but I also experienced scamming in Varanasi, Culcutta & Mumbai, so it might be fairer to say try to avoid all cities?
@@cthulhurising4860 haha yeah but Delhi is next level. You just have to be smart about things and tell people to get lost
