I’ve used MAC studio fix for several years. Love it. Great tip thanks! I’ve only discovered watching these make up tutorials on CZcams in the past few days. I prefer watching you over all of the other women I have seen. You get straight to the point tell us about the product and we don’t have to hear about all the other things going on in your life.

I followed this (but sometimes I use a damp beauty blender) and people thought I used a liquid foundation (and I HATE liquid foundations!). It kinda leaves this barely noticeable film on the pan but then it still works. I still appreciate this video because now I get full coverage without looking cakey!

I suggesting you use a mac studio fix foundation powder first then spray some mac finish mist on your face. You will have the same result and not ruin the product. Try it !!!

This is an awesome idea! I have sensitive dry skin from rosacea and and I can’t use liquid foundation. I’m so glad I saw this! I have Mac studio plus powder foundation and Lancôme dual powder foundation. I tried your method with both products and wow it’s like a cream on your face but dries very nicely, and I make sure to really hydrate before applying and then use a hydrating setting mist, and my face doesn’t feel too dry at all when doing this. The staying power is like wow too!!!!! Thank you for this idea it’s a game changer for me and it does cover all my redness too. 😁

wayne I have to thank you again, because I just tried this today with a Body Shop foundation and although I still need concealer to hide my blemishes (sad face), I have a beautiful light coverage on the areas that don't need a full coverage and I look so much better! YAY! More reasons to love you!

Yes, you can do this with Fix+, although it's a total waste & makes no difference. And yes, you can do this with loose minerals. Even a sponge puff works. I often do this with MAC's Mineralize Skinfinish Natural when I want super light coverage on 'good skin' days. I've also always used a lighter shade around the center of my face, cheekbones & eye area. It works great to brighten my face up a bit & add more dimension.

one last addition ... with eshiko powder as finishing touch, airbrushed look effect without all the heaviness of the products used is without any doubt would catch even the most discerning person's attention and would make him want to dissect your face to figure how such finish is achieved ... (a slight exaggeration but i hope you get my drift) :) thanks for your great ideas. i love make-up even more now :)

I discovered using a damp sponge with my Studio Tech cream foundation gave me an amazing even coverage which is so sheer and doesn't look as cakey compared to using it dry. My skin looked flawless after!

ive been using the same technique only i used the airbrush thinner (idea from your previous upload), using mac full coverage and the skin finish products with either a brush or the beauty blender sponge. technique leaves the skin with the most beautiful skin like finish plus a natural glow with no traces of full coverage heaviness and powdery texture of any powdery product. Ive also tried using the airbrush thinner with eye shadow brushes and product, this gives the most amazing vibrant finish

For the past year, i've been spraying my face with fix + and then just applying the powder over that. Until I ran out and couldn't afford to by more, so I just started using water. I never thought of spraying the BRUSH! My way also doesn't give a lot of coverage, so i've been using face and body foundation before the powder, but that's been making it look cakey and gross as the day goes on. Can't wait to go try this right now hahaha
