"are you a child of divorce?" took me so by surprise that it's immediately become one of my favourite moments ever in 16 series of this show
Its amazing that this show still feels so fresh and is still so funny after 16 seasons. This was one of my favourite so far!
Every season I say this was one of my favourite!
My favourite is probably season 10, but this is easily second.
Agreed - def one of my fave groups!
Loved Sam think he won everyone over 😂 hope we see much more of him and julian I've seen twice at Newcastle theatre ...brilliant one of the best shows in a long time 😂😂😂
Would have been one of my faves if not for that bitter, nasty betch, Julian.
Julian saying "I suppose you've got a barbecue, haven't you?" to Alex should have been included. It's my favourite quote from series 16. Julian's savage delivery can make anything seem insulting.
"oh, you have a friend?"
I love how Julian seems like such a calm, soft-spoken guy, but is capable of delivering the utmost savagery. And I know that just because they're a comedy duo doesn't necessarily mean they have similar personalities, but I wasn't expecting Sue to be the polar, exact opposite of Mel Giedroyc.
Sue was so creative in her insults and Julian managed to turn every sentence directed towards Alex sound like one. This season was amazing!
Sue's "act" was just tiresome. It's like she'd never seen the show before. Why on Earth would you be expecting anything from Alex other than what he did? He makes tasks difficult, tricky, and often frustrating. Acting angry (or worse, actually BEING angry at Alex) is just lame and makes you look like you're not familiar with the show.
How creative is "utter sh!t"?
@@jonhohensee3258 At no point was Super Kins _genuinely_ , seriously angry.
@@jonhohensee3258 You don't understand comedy, do you? I'm not saying it's great comedy, but you really do seem to have missed the point.
@@davidhoward4715 Nope.
"Are you a child of divorce" might be my favourite insult from the whole show. It was completely unexpected.
he used is one question perfectly
Surprised that Julian's 'Oh you've got a friend?' wasn't there.
Or the “ whoever you are” directed at Alex.
There was a vibe about this series that I think made it one of the best. Everyone was just a delight to watch for different reasons. The bizarre stories of Lucy, Sam's unique and clever way of looking at tasks, Sue's utter contempt for Alex and most of the tasks, Susan constantly bringing up Rada, and Julian just being a legend. I absolutely loved it all!
I feel like Alex broke character more than usual than this season I loved it. Contestants were just too funny.
Sue and Julian should have been given bonus points for berating Alex at every opportunity! 🤣 Series 16 was perfection.
Greg said he quit giving bonus points when it turned out that a series outcome was completely changed by a bonus point or two that he had given out earlier in the series.
@@nybbleme That makes total sense, thank you for sharing!
Need to see more of Julian…get him back on TV again, he’s hilarious!!
Well he's finished his childrens' book series (for now) so maybe he'll have more time.
He kind of got cancelled for his Norman Lamont joke.
@@foobar476 Except for his ongoing career.
@@foobar476 at the time people got twisted. but who the fuck cares about a simple fisting joke in 2023
He always was. His entire career has been amazing. I'm loving his dry, sardonic persona as he ages, although he also killed it in the 80s and 90s playing the wild child.
Sue pulling the chain out of the boot just cracks me up! 😂
Sam Campbell should just be in every series - not necessarily as a contestant but as a smart ass cameo here and there. He’s hysterical when you least expect it.
Julian is so fucking savage, I love it.
Possibly the most belly laugh-inducing show on TV. I've genuinely loved every one of the 80 Comedian contestants and reckon Alex has conjured the pinnacle of meaningless effort for shits and giggles. Greg lauds over this spectacle like the former-teacher he is. Brilliant. $0.02
With every Series and special it never fails to have you hysterical laughing. This American in New York City absolutely loves this show
Alex played Sue with that chain in the welly!😅 even Greg was surprised
"Are you a child of divorce?" is perfect.
Series 16 was fantastic - it's definitely in my top three along with 7 and 13.
The best insult was delivered by Sue when asked about what she thinks of Mr Tuvwxyz, she answered,
"Demanding tool, I thought"
There’s also Julian outright calling Qrs a c**t before the camera cuts away 😂
@@jasminkhangura3832 the second time in that episode that he called Alex that
Honestly I've enjoyed every seasons contestants generally but this seasons I think takes the cake for one of my favorites. Just all five of them have had some amazing and hilarious moments on the show haha.
This was another good job by the casting department 👌
This series is the gift that keeps on giving 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
the studio part of this series was the best of all the series, and the tasks were great too, I love Taskmaster, long may it continue
This is honestly the best season!
Sue Perkins and Julian Clary insulting Alex is always a fave
Loved this series! Julian was my absolute favourite 😂
Ive never watched a full series before, but absolutely loved this. Sam and Julian were highlights for me but everyone was excellent to be fair.
I still say that the "hiding the real flag under my foot" _debacle_ was the beginning of Alex's supervillian arc.
Previously we had 'Trickster Alex' (you......might......complete the task correctly) but that was full on, moooostache-twirling evil.
Love Sue Perkins, her comedic timing and wording is so funny and so British.
Sue Perkins is wonderful 😊
And to think that this Show gets better and better with time! Really unique. Love from Portugal.
Sue’s insults throughout series 16 were pure artistry
I have that Cat Balls 2023 calendar, a good friend gave it to me 😂😂 I have it up in the bathroom 😂😂
This series was so brilliantly chaotic
this series has replaced series 7 as my new favourite. i have already rewatched it
Are you a child of divorce?
My new favorite insult.
This was the best group since series 7.
Can't wait for the new years special!!
That man with the teeth, lmao, poor Rob.
Alex’s police hat with the light on it reminds me of Officer Short Shrift from The Phantom Tollbooth
How can you make so many great shows. I wait eagerly for the next series.
Susan Wokoma is noticeably absent from almost all of these. I guess she's just a sweet person!
"You look like a canoe!"
Utterly hilarious 😂😂
Sue perkins is absolutely hilarious 🤣🤣🤣
I need a compilation of just Sue's insults at Alex plz
"That's fingertip cruel, mate"😂😂
untaffled is a word according to the 2009 urban dictionary
taffled is to be annoyingly tangled,
so to untaffle something is to unravel the annoying tangle.
I actually looked it up. nice life. jel?
LOL
Taffled is a common word in the Hull dialect, probably much more so than tangled.
Which episode is the „dreamcrusher“ bit at the end from? I don’t remember that task.
Edit: apparently I only watched episode 9 part way. Well, at least I’ve got some more Taskmaster to watch now 😊

Sue Perpurbkins 🏅🏅🏅😂😂😂❤❤❤
alex really does just look like a canoe that wished it was human, doesn't he?
Lucy Beaumont spat out chewed donut to feed to Alex, and in another episode in this same series, she admitted to doing a poo in a bag and throwing it out the window. For Jon Richardson's sanity's sake, I hope to god he doesn't watch this program. 😂
I am still surprised that they are married and have children together.
No, she said she couldn't get the poo to flush so she put it in a bag and flung it out the window.
@@scorpioninpinkcalled it
Ive never seen Alex laugh as hard as he does to Sam Campbell's jokes
“You look like a canoe” 😅
Untaffled is definitely a word used in Yorkshire. Ok, Hull didn't used to be part of it but now they are.
Definitely one of my favorite seasons. Pretty much everyone is amazing. I want to be on this show so badly. Only problem is I'll have to figure out how to become a famous comedian in the UK. This is easily one of my favorite TV shows of all time...I try to spread the word in the US. People don't know what they're missing.
Sam could be in AC/DC.......
Taffle means to twist something together. I'm not sure if you can prefix un- to it though.
30gsss babbyyyy ✌✌
still my fav
Best Series So Far Greg & Alex Are Brilliant 😅
As an off-the-cuff, the cosmetic surgery running gag was superb.
Julian is kind of like an upmarket Joe Brand
Sue was the best for these.
Sam and Lucy broke Alex
He also looks like Matt Hancock
I think Lucy meant untangled
I know I shouldn’t care but Sam says “Fagin at A disco” but the episode is called “Fagin at THE disco” and it bothers me 😭
Did Lucy call Alex a "mooky booger"? And what is that to folks in the south?
I'm guessing I would call them a sh!t monster, but I'm not up on my Hull slang.... I've never called anyone a sh!t monster. I'm kind of looking forward to it.
"Mucky Bugger", be which she just meant "You Nasty".
Mucky to us Hull folk is "dirty" @@christianboehlefeld5168
they where all great this season but Sam and Julian really tickled my funny bone throughout
It don’t get it?🇨🇦
Bold from Julian considering who tf is he?
Of all the contestants, Julian was the least enjoyable and the most loathesome. 👎🤬
Why do people insist this is entertainment?
What's your idea of entertainment? I'm genuinely interested..
Because they want a break from people like you
Because it is.
My initial response could have been taken so many ways. In fact, I'm just going to leave it to your imagination.
If you think this isn't entertainment why are you here? CZcams is a pretty big place and I'm sure there's something out there more to your taste.
Sue was tiresome.
Not really.
@@davidhoward4715 Very much so.
@@jonhohensee3258 Not at all.
@@user-ns3vs1cn3s Undeniably.
People like you are tiresome.
It's getting too much like that awful American version. It used to be that the contestants wanted to play along with the outrageous demands. Now all they do is sneer and snark pure defiance, or are deliberately obtuse. I know comedians on the whole probably don't like being told what to do, but this is getting wearisome. It would be nice if they tried to play the game and showed a little creativity instead of just finding unfunny ways to refuse.
I think it's down to the interaction between the cast tbh. They seem to vibe off each other or against each other. The very first taskmaster series consisted mainly of Tim Key cheating in every task...ironic seeing as he then went on to create the tasks. Another series consisted of Hugh Dennis just thinking around the task to 'cheat'. It's like they've said the joy of the programme is not knowing how each contestant is going to approach a task. I much prefer the cheating ones and the wilful disobedient ones myself as shock horror they're funny
Who the hell is that in the thumbnail???
