I got into beanie babies around 2000, long after the peak, I remember only being able to find one third generation beanie baby and another that was from an early generation but had lost its hang tag. It must have taken a lot of time and effort to assemble this collection.

This video was so fun to watch. I am a collector of Ty Beanie Babies of all generations and am even lucky enough to have quite a few of the early ones featured here (although mine don't have hang tags and some are decent looking counterfeits, which is fine with me since I'm more interested in the plush animals than their tags). Most of my collection has been acquired from thrift stores, flea markets, and antique shops. Occasionally I will splurge on eBay for a rarer find. Happy the gray hippo has been on my wish list since childhood and I hope to acquire him someday. :)

I started collecting as a kid in mid 1998, just barely missing the May 1998 retirement crew. My first 3 were Nuts, Blackie and Batty. In the 2000's, I managed to get all of those 5th Gen retirements that I missed, and some 4th Gen retirements that I knew from books like Radar and Ally from conventions, but anyone that retired in 3rd Gen or earlier is still just a dream to me.
I do have a Splash with a 1st Gen tush tag that I found at a thrift store however, but no hang tag.

A Beanie Baby made with PVC Pellets is worth WAY more than any Beanie Baby made with P.E. Pellets. I've been collecting them since the early 90's. A P.E. Pellet Princess Diana Bear is almost worthless compared to that of a P.V.C. Pellet Princess Diana Bear.

I just completed my gen 1 thru 3 collection except I only have 3 of the 12 teddies and my royal blue peanut is fake. I also have a complete gen 1 thru 5 collection. I literally have every beanie from 1993 to 2000 on ward... I have thousands of beanies in my attic and all my gen 1 thru 3s are in a display case and I show them off here on youtube.
... aaaand that's why I have a full set of Budweiser Christmas mugs. It just doesn't make sense to me to just collect the valuable ones... the collection feels _incomplete._

Dude, you gotta heIIa frickin' sweet collection...🤘🏼🤪❤️💯✔️ I gotta awesome story to tell, so like, way back in the day, way before I joined the Beanie Baby collecting craze...(which started officially for me when the Princess🌹Diana bear was released)...I was in Nashville, Indiana, in Brown County, and long story short, I ended up buying one of the original Teal🐻Bears, and being a kid at the time, I didn't care about the tag, so I ripped it of...👌🏼 Now, flash forward to the Beanie craze and my mother just happened to realize what that bear actually was, and she looked it up and seen that the prices were outrageous, and we even went on another trip back down to the shop in Brown County and showed the bear to the woman who owned the shop and talked to her about it, and she confirmed it and even tried to buy it back from us...😄...but my mom believing that it was still gonna be worth more in the far future wouldn't sell it...🚫...and the biggest kicker outta all of it was that my mother was frickin' mad at me for removing the tag...😮...and she blamed me and said I did it on purpose and did it to be mean and spiteful...😕...like, what in the fawk...😟...no I didn't❗️❗️❗️ How in the heII was I supposed to know that in a few years down the line this silly little stuffed bear was gonna be worth any damn💵money...😒 And still to this day because of the belief that it was gonna be worth some money we still have that idiotic damn bear...🙄...that really isn't worth much at all...ugh...such a missed opportunity...😖

But all of mine are mint condition...all have beans & not damaged & all tags are protected ...I also have some generation 2...& unfortunately I have some gen 1 but it's before I knew how they would worth $ so some of hang tags are missing but all have tush tags. I've got a Beanie Baby Snip. I feel it's in mint condition....not in a case though. The tag isn't in plastic or handmade wasn't the way you described. I don't want to sell it but how much do you think it's worth?
I still got a;l my beanies I loved them used to take the buddies to bed and fall asleep cuddling them but I have a lot of beanies on a shelf. looking at me right now and I have 2 large storage boxes full of beanies when I bought them it was for cuteness and cos I liked them I didn’t care about value as I know I’d be keeping them also during lockdown I dug them all out and sat on the floor surrounded by lots and lots of beanies but I’d never sell my beanies I still love them too much and don’t really care about value

Hello, I watched this video all the way thru to the end, very nice collection you have there. I have a question about the TY bear that I have at the moment if you wouldnt mind answering it. Ok, so i have a Halo ty bear with the iridescent wings and halo., brown nosed, i believe a 3rd gen hang tag. It also has a tush tag that i have an issue with. In your video you said the words 'HANDMADE' Iis printed as one word and it would have an extra space between it and the words 'IN CHINA'. my bear has a regular space between the word HANDMADE and t and IN CHINA. Also, my bear has a red plastic hanger that holds the hang tag on his left ear. Also, in side the hang tag, there is a name: Halo, and a date of birth of Aug 31, 1998, a poem about him being a guardian angel. Are these things that would make the Halo bear valuable or not? please advise on this. Thank you kindly,

I have a collection of beanies over several generations. I collected only the ones that I considered pretty, not valuable. I only paid retail value for them, except for Princess bear. I wanted that bear (out of stock in my area) so I had to pay a higher price (but not too expensive) for it as I was deeply saddened by Diana's passing and I thought the bear was a very good tribute to her.

I had a very expensive 1st gen beanie baby and my little sister somehow got it and ripped the tag off.
My name is Angel and a friend gave me a couple of beanie babies I used to collect them way back in the day and this one she gave me she says it's very rare one of a kind and she said it's one of a kind because when they made it it has black spots on it I actually thought it was dirty but she told me no that's how it was made where would I go to look this up to see if it's true do you think you could help me.
