Most people laugh at ldr and think it is a joke
Mine chose someone else physically closer just because of one hug with him, after 7 months of me always being his listening ear and supporting hand through his darkest depression of his abusive ex. I always forgave him no matter how harsh he would treat me because I knew that's not what he meant, and he would later break down in tears apologizing and saying how bad he treats me and asking what did he do to deserve me. I loved him so much.
But after the latest two big fights, he said he can't do this anymore, and he's more stressed out with me rather than happy. But on the next days he would say it's not me, it's him, he's unstable, that he's not ready for any relationship, and that I deserve better, and that he needs time to heal, because he still has feelings for his ex.
And just days later he broke down in tears at a party and some guy hugged him without saying anything. âAnd this hug was worth a million words over phone.â he says. He says he finally doesn't care about his ex, but also doesn't love me anymore already, because âwe never were a real thingâ. Hurts.

seeing a long distance couple meeting in the airport for the first time is the cutest thing ever, both of them rushing towards each other in the middle of the airport, hugging, kissing and not feel embarrassed
SO EXTREMELY HAPPY FOR YOU BOTH!! To anyone in a ldr, never let others tell you that these types of relationships never work out or that they're not real. So many people were separated from their loved ones for the longest time due to the pandemic and I'm so proud of everyone for not giving up! I wasn't able to meet my boyfriend for 2 years due to the travel ban between the US and Europe. In August we also got to finally meet again, got married and will be spending the holidays together for the first time ever. Long distance relationships are so worth it and only make your bond even stronger :)

Sending something tangible is the literal best thing in LDRs (after seeing your SO for real of course!). Dropping a package at the Post office and seeing it in the hands of your SO two weeks later will still be the most mindblown I have been in my life! Also strengthens the physical bond (which is hard to maintain over such a long distance).

Something similar to this happend to me recently completely out of the blue. I had no intention of meeting anyone but I walked past a girl on the street with a beautiful simle so I went over to speak with her and compliment her. It turned out she lived in a completely different city half way across the world and was traveling but we had such a nice conversation we stayed intouch everyday for 2 whole months before I decided to go vist her for the first time. I had so much anxiety about going and spending a whole week with someone I only had 10 minutes of real life interaction with. I did it anyway and she turned out to be a beautiful soul and we had a great week spending every passing moment together. she will now come to see me. So I'm currently in a long distance relationship, and it's very very hard. I'm a massive overthinker so that clashes with the uncertainty aswell. I'm planning on meeting him in a couple years and I love that saying that love is a choice because it is. I don't chose to overthink and to have constant anxiety, however I do chose him as he has shown me so much love and empathy. He's understood me a lot more than any one else in my life. This video made me so emotional but also gave me heaps of hope for the future of me and him.
