- Today I hit 10M followers on Tik Tok (🤯) and said goodbye to the stairwell. Such a full circle, bittersweet moment. Thank you to all of you who’ve followed along on my journey from singing in the stairwell during the pandemic until now. I love you ALL. I’ll always be your stairwell siren 🥹🧜🏼♀️

Yes. Same singer who said Filipino folk song "Ili ili" is a creepy song when in fact it is a baby's lullaby, the level of disrespect. She searched for the lyrics to sing it for views but still called it creepy. And yet people think it is appropriate to appreciate this. What a bluff.

I lived near a hiking trail once that went under a local boulevard. The tunnel under the boulevard was a large, steel and concrete reinforced half cylinder. It had the most AMAZING acoustics. Tons of natural reverb. I spent hours in that tunnel singing. It was a deeply pleasurable experience. I often miss it. I half want to move back just for that tunnel.
I bet the neighbors are gonna miss hearing her sing.

Did you all notice the toddler’s full body vibrato/run during one of the notes? She was just missing her one hand on her ear and the other making a motion. A true Whitney in the making.
And also, the solemn sounds of this beautiful siren reminded me of the stillness that overwhelmed me when my 5 year old (he’s now 6), got on my production equipment last year and composed a 6 minute, solemn song in the key of d minor. I happened to be recording and it really engulfed me. Music is power.
Thanks for including your baby girl in the music. I also was nurtured musically very young and it’s so important.
