evasion isn't a good way to counter slardar since you would have to spend 4000 gold just to possibly(since you would have to be lucky and evade the exact fourth auto). Best way to counter slardar who wants to build moonshard is not letting him snowball. Slardar, unlike other popular offlaners(tiny, axe, centaur, dragon knight etc.) doesn't have any strong defensive ability. only negligble health regen and armor when he stands in a water. His tankiness comes mostly from high strenght gain per lvl so when he has level advantage he has quite a lot of HP to deal with. But if you play safely against him he won't be able to start sonwballing so he no longer is gonna be able to still be tanky after building moonshard. so he can choose to build it anyways and die fast in a teamfight because he is not tanky enough(note that he doesn't have any poke abilities so the only thing he can do is to jump in and start autoattackinh whcih means he will get focused) or build tank items and don't have enough attack speed to do this. And even if he gets fed, fight him only in teamfights so you can easily disable him and he won't be able to perma stun you

Got the same build on my off slard and we lose coz it's pretty much 4v5 coz slardar is useless with that build. He melts like butter once hit by carry and in my rank we aren't idiotic enough to not buy halberd or hex. We all reported him even the enemy coz they said he's account buyer lol

Evasion my friends, most Sladars do this and can be countered by evasion. Once He has MKB then you may want to think about escape items.
