This purple dream is Eurovision winning material - not only because a ballad will absolutely stand out at Eurovision this year, but also because it represents the spirit of its country in a way that makes me shiver in front of this mesmerizing beauty!💜🪻🇷🇸 I do understand the profound meaning because I am half Croatian, but even if we don't look at borders and nations, "Ramonda" is a haunting mélange of velvety melancholia, spectral grace and deepest emotions! And there couldn't be a more suitable voice to share this multi-layered message with the entire world: Teya Dora is not only a heartwarming human being and exceptionally gifted artist, but has the ability to seduce the masses with a voice out of this world. Vocals and songs don't always need to be loud and sharp to cast a spell over the universe, and in this case a dark lullaby is predestined to make this world a better place. Ramonda only needs one drop of water to rise from the dead - and if we look at the current state of our world, a sweet masterpiece like this has never been more necessary than now. Like the flower itself, "Ramonda" grows and grows and grows with every single listen, its putting me in a trance at night and day, and I'm already sure that Teya's magic will heal all the suffering in the world in May. This entry fulfills me on the deepest possible level and it speaks to my soul as if it was born within me!💜🪻✨️🌙

„I have no peace, I have no dreams,
The night won’t let the day come.
It’s tough for those who are alone.
Everything is so quiet, as if underwater.
I’m screaming but it doesn’t come through.
There’s a white glow beyond the hills,
I can’t seem to see the end.
This is a path for the wounded.
And there’s no one to guide me
To the bright star of the morning.
    The world is burning,
    every single flower.
Where did the lilac ramondas disappear?
    Ramonda
    Lilac ramonda

And there’s no one to guide me
Because all of the stars are asleep.
    The prayers aren’t helping either
Where did the lilac ramondas disappear?
    Ramonda
    Lilac ramonda

    From the ashes
a single lilac ramonda is rising…”
Ramonda is a flower that was dirst discovered in Serbia, and one of the things that makes it so special is the fact that a fully dead ramonda can be saved with a single drop of water - that’s how sensitive of a flower it is. This characteristic of ramonda has made it a very special symbol for the Serbian people, kind of like a Serbian Phoenix - symbol of hope and rebirth. It also has a huge historical significance, it is a symbol of the continuous suffering of the Serbian people throughout the centuries, all the way to the horrible hardships we are dealing with right now. Hope this helped!

Ramonda Serbica - an endemic type of flower that grows only in Serbia known for its remarkable resilience . It is a symbol of survival. One drop of water is enough to revive a completely dry and dead flower. The flower is a symbol of Serbian people, cause like the flower can suffer and die and be in extreme conditions and be revived with a single drop of water so can Serbian people, flower came to represent everything Serbia went through during WW1.

Ramonda is the name of a Serbian flower...it is also called "Fenix flower" because even when it is dry and dead, only one drop of water can revive the flower! It's a song about personal struggles in life and that there's also a hope for a better tomorrow. We can all rise like a phoenix from the ashes just like how flower Ramonda needs so little to revive again after being dead. The song also represent all how our people rose from the dead after WW1 and so many lives lost! Ramonda is our national flower! And yes, she is singing "Lila Ramonda" which means "Purple Ramonda"....the flower is purple in color. That is why you'll see many purple hearts in the comments 💜💜💜

The title of this song references a flower known by its latin name "Ramonda serbica", an endemic species that only grows in serbia, which is known for its ability to completely dry out and still revive once it gets water, a flower that can straight up come back from undead. Very similar to Ramonda Serbica is Natalie's Ramonda, flower of the same genus, In Serbia it's known as "Natalijina ramonda" named after the XIX century Serbian queen Natalija Obrenovic and it's used as a symbol of peace after WWI. In Serbia, to mark this day we wear a phoenix flower - Natalie's Ramonda, capable of resurrection, just as Serbia after WWl, in which it lost almost 1/3 of people.

I like the song and the staging. It is definitely not the people's choice since Breskvica won the televote by a landslide, but it is the jury's choice. I guess we in Croatia are lucky to have a song that both won the jury vote (marginally) and the televote by a landslide. I hope that people of Serbia will learn to like this song and support Teya Dora like most of us Croatians support Baby Lasagna. Breskvica has a huge fan base that would have been out in force voting. This song is more effective in this day and age. Gnezdo Orlovo is too ethnic after not having any ethnic sounds for some time - not counting the turbofolk of Hurricane in this either.

@@vladimirjochictrue, huge name recognition and her fans came out to vote for her, but what about Europe, where she doesn't have that much recognition and might be shadowed by better songs in the semi-final of death? And despite that huge name recognition, she still didn't win it. My fear is that it's only a bubble favorite and one that is beloved by her own fans, rather than something that casual viewers, especially those who aren't familiar with Teya Dora, would come out to vote for.

The jury just voted for someone with name recognition and the money to pay much she's gotta do in Malmö (hotel, food, but maybe also stuff regarding her performance, eg outfits, maybe props) herself, so that RTS doesn't have to. And the rest could be paid by her record company. Wnd this over songs that could have actually qualified. Why? Aren't juries actually supposed to even out big name recognition, especially if they're only known in their own home country and bordering states? Unlike The Rasmus. They actually should award the best songs and maybe vote down people with higher name recognition.

None of the songs in the selection were winner songs, Teya has a much better chance of getting a good result than Breskvica or Zorja IMO
