the reason for radiance is not to get afk.
i mean even for a low mmr game i never would ahve thought about AFK farming ancients using rad and sa I know its stupid to hear but the just automated farming without the need of any clicks
even if we call it dumb it needed alot of thinking to make it happen

Honestly though lol, most players I have ever played with or against are so set in their ways, always mocking players for going unsual builds and thinking they're correct as if it's some sort of set in stone fact that X hero MUST build X item. So boring. I imagine new players are more creative because they aren't hyper focused on imitating the pros

@@d00d628 I doubt herald would care about this. Most of heralds are average non-gamer playing dota just for fun or someone in their office/school play dota and ask them to team up with. Sometimes I’m just jealous on their honesty, it’s like the first time you found out dota. This is a curse for us experienced player unable to enjoy Dota again

Back when I was in Herald, I was playing Faceless Void against a Sniper. During the mid game, I was on low health at one point,but found a good 3 man chrono with the Sniper in it. As I am finishing off the Sniper, this dude pops a Blade Mail out of nowhere that kills me and walks away with 8 HP. That changed me as a person.

I like to think that Chen had strategized this leading up to this game. Printing out a rainforest of various charts over the neutral camps and creeps. Planning the shadow amulet + radiance farming strat in order to min-max efficiency to enable him time for microing his healing army, frantically going through hundreds of the printed paper charts over the neutral camps while still having time left to trash talk the enemy team. The true MVP of herald gaming and a living legend!
I'm not so sure about the living thing since his name is zombie but ok.

That Hill Troll thing is actually genius. Also because one of the harder things about Chen is when you have different creeps with different abilities. Here he only has to think about one spell, so microing the creeps is actually not that hard.
When I started Dota I bought 6 stout shield's thinking id block 120 damage with a 300% chance to block. Thought Id be invincible
while me 6 boots thought can run faster like lycan

I remember back then my friend said nyx with crystalys is op and he literally build 4 crystalys using nyx, another time when he just build tanky item for every strength hero he use. Just put vanguard and 3 tarras and boom, enemy cant kill him even if they 5 v 1 him.

to be honest though, this is what I missed in DotA2 that I have in DotA1. The funny shenanigans with everyone having fun. I still remember buying multiple couriers just to dagon the fuck out of the enemy team. Fun times. Everything's been so hypercompetitive, I kinda wished I could play a subpar but fun build with friends every once in a while without getting 9 reports every time.
These people is much happier than us.
I remember my first games, where i didn't even buy any items. I didnt understand anything around me, we played any hero, no matter the lane or the role, we were all farming on the lane at the same time, no people complaining....

"I'm feelin unranked"
I've played nothing but turbo and 12v12 for two years. After hitting my mmr goal in ranked, I couldn't stand the sweaty grind and just wanted to have fun. 12v12 and turbo are the most fun I've gotten out of DotA in 8 years of playing.
Same here i only used to play turbo 2-3 matches a day it's fun unlike rank i would say
I'm a new Dota player and Turbo is the only way I can play. Grinding creeps for 25 minutes to get 1-2 major items just isn't fun. I don't understand why there isn't a ranked Turbo though.
@@tictacman1000 ranked is a more serious way to play dota, turbo is a fast pace mode with little rebalancing effort done to it. But they should at least make an AD in turbo mode.that is much more fun

I have actually tried this already when i was learning chen and creeps. That small healing is so great. If you set one target to heal, it keeps healing till the HP is full.

Honestly, I love these videos. These are the type of guys who order just a big bag of legos and start building monstrosities without any clear goal in mind. They just find a brick that fits on another brick and think "awesome, lets go from here". They don't care about building a cool castle or race car. No! They just like fitting bricks together. It must be really enjoyable to be able to play Dota this way, without any care in the world about meta or whatever. Liberating.

I totally feel that rant at the end. Dota is a game like any other, having fun is the goal more than anything else. I'm glad I got into it back in the WCIII Dota 1 days, when everything was chaotic and fun and the atmosphere was of excitement about the game. These days the community takes itself too seriously; if you're not playing the game the "one true way", your existence is a mistake!
You're right Jenkins. I play dota because it is an escape because work and adult life is toxic and stressful. I just don't play it because I want to grind and get higher MMR, I also play it because it makes me happy and to have fun.

There really is a beauty to the way these guys see the game lol. For every nonsensical item or inefficiency stubbornly being doubled down on, there's a genius solution to compensate for its pitfalls. This is the kind of content nobody on their own could imagine. It takes whole servers of these mavericks to produce this level of quality.

This chen has taught us a valuable lesson and I will never forget him.
Love the comments at the end. I long ago decided "meh" to mmr and chose to do 10 all heroes. My mmr is as low as you can imagine it to be given the disadvantage of all-heroing, but 1) I enjoy the challenge more than mmr grind, 2) its fun, 3) and you learn alot by losing too. Maybe this Chen just exploring the wide open space of how to play chen different ways. I've always felt there is a crazy carry chen possible--if you just kind of ignore your team and do your own thing; QED I guess.
low mmr games are beautiful and way more entertaining than most pro games. Especially with good commentary is icing on the cake.

Did you? can you even take the troll at level 1 ? Cause honestly mid laner with infinite sustain might actually be a thing
Improved version of the chen build:
Start by massing hill trolls, so you can create a second fountain. You use this to sustain your team in fights, as well as take early rosh (with an ursa or something)
Early/midgame items are normal, probably arcanes and mek, possibly greaves if you're ahead. Then you get ags. You use this to take ancients around when second rosh is up (which you are helping with your trolls) and use the timing of ancient creep auras + 2nd aegis to push high ground.
This relies on a fairly good early game, and also that the chen is able to find farm for these items (maybe even upgraded in farm priority?), but I could see this working as a really strong midgame timing. You'd also want a carry and/or mid that can push, and heroes that can protect the backline of Hill Troll Priests from something like an Ember Spirit destroying them.

safelane theyre easily harrased due to terrible movement speed
midlane he is extremely squishy and would easily die to midlaners like storm void invo actually literally every int midlaner destroys sniper as soon as they reach lvl 6
and on offlane he dies from a single lvl2 bladefury from a juggernaut
@@potato-yx5te In lane, force him to use his q and when he uses it, try to deny ranged creep if you can. And just wait till the wave pushes in. In mid game, its easy to know where sniper would be in a fight. Instead of charging in like a bull, try to make a smoke wrap around. In late game, just buy a fucking blink dude lol.
@@potato-yx5te He's easy to deal with at all stages if your team has enough roots, free projectiles (Invo SS, Mirana Arrow, Pudge Hook, ET Stun, Tiny Toss to him, Earth Spirit abilities or Earthshaker's stun) and/or free movement heroes (All 6 Spirit heroes, Snapfire, BH, Enchantress, Mirana etc.)
