I was 8 years old, and in second grade. Our teacher didn't tell us what happened, but I saw the events unfold on TV, when I got home. I couldn't believe it, seeing the planes crash into the Twin Towers! We'll never forget those we lost on 9/11. :(
These lyrics are so appropriate for our world now. This entire era of music is so precious!
Don Henley has such an amazing voice, when speaking he has somewhat of a lower voice but he can hit those high notes with such ease, I love watching him playing drums and he definitely has a beautiful smile but tome he’s just gorgeous

Decon Frey, Glenn’s son does a wonderful job. If I could show pictures here, Glenn Frey went to Dondero High School. He was a senior and I was a freshman. Upon his death Royal Oak changed the name of Farunm to Glenn Frey Drive.

I agree but unfortunately todays radio SUCKS! I gave up on radio long ago and I am so happy that the internet has allowed me to still listen to GOOD MUSIC.

What I always will love about Glenn is the way his voice expands those background vocals and harmonies. It's truly his secret weapon. Will miss him terribly at MSG next month, but his spirit will definitely be there.

Even though I don't think of it as country, I recalled that this was being played like crazy on CMT when it came out. I know it was written about 9/11, but it is a measure of what has happened in the world since that this song is sadly still relevant. It was appropriate that it appeared again today!
I was thinking the exact same thing while listening. I saw them multiple times post 9/11 and this song was always included in the set. When they sing harmony with minimal instruments there is nothing like it! So beautiful!
