Paul and Linda McCartney's 6 weeks in Lebanon, TN

The Beatles never played in Nashville, but five decades ago, Paul McCartney set up shop in Wilson County. It was June of 1974 when one superstar came to Lebanon. That summer, the former Beatle and his band Wings landed in Middle Tennessee.

75, what a year, what a summer ! I was 10 years old and listening to Wings on my little radio. You notice Paul sitting on the WKDA radio station car. That was the rock and pop AM station at the time. Paul and Linda were some of the most famous people in the world but were doing everything to escape it and just be normal. I have always admired him for it.

Part of my life. My grandmother Tabitha worked for the Putmans. I would go with her in the summers to clean the house. She was working there during the Wings visit. My mom was there several time to help as well during that summer.

Paul and Linda owned a ranch in Tucson, AZ where Linda was from. They lived there for many years. He may still own it!
