- so about 7 or 8 years ago I refurbished a Snap-On toolbox that I bought at a pawn shop for cheap because it was beat up. that's when I learned of the incredible lifetime warranty that snap-on has for their boxes and wear and tear parts. I added a 1953 topper to my 1973 original one, and when it came time to add to the fleet I inherited this 1995 Master series and I decided that I was going to paint it to match. would have probably been cheaper to buy a affordable harbor freight toolbox but I really like restoring old things and repurposing and giving new life.
Snap on tool box 100% worth restoring. I still have my snap on chest and box I bough back in 1980 as a auto body technician. I’ll be passing it down to my 16 year old grandson who want to be a mechanic
This is just what i was looking for! Great video!!! I’m going to do a vinyl wrap on my Snap On bc i can’t decide on a color!
How many cans of paint did it take to paint the whole thing?
Did the sliding hinges cost you anything or they did a even swap, any problems not being the original owner ?
Hi! I’m wanting to do this for the sole purpose of not having my DeWalt tool box bright Yellow-may I ask why you sanded? Because it was older? Mine is new, and curious if I just use the etching primer if I need to sand as well!
Hey there, sorry just seeing this. YOU HAVE to sand...paint needs something to grab onto and a smooth surface won't be good enough, it'll flake and scratch off super easily if you don't sand first.
How do you deal with the factory paint in between the panels in the center?
Where did you get the butcher block at?
Shell lumber in Miami
I recently bought a snapon tool box from like 1990 that needs a lot of work and youre telling me theyll give me free replacement parts?
I am telling you that. Contact them, they are very serious about their reputation for quality and lifetime durability
@@jperrod1979 do you have to tell them that you are the one who purchased it from them or do they not care about anything as long as you have a snap on tool box?
What’s the point of the video of you don’t show the finished product? 👎🏼
