The Only Chocolate Cake Recipe You’ll Ever Need! Moist Chocolate Cupcakes & Buttercream Frosting!🧁 Make these bakery style chocolate cupcakes and yummy vanilla buttercream frosting. These cupcakes are perfect for birthdays, holidays, events, gatherings, parties, etc. You can get really creative with the decoraring by adding food colouring to the buttercream, creating beautiful designings, adding sprinkles and more!
INGREDIENTS & NOTES
1 cup all purpose flour
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup cocoa powder
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp espresso powder (store bought or what i do, crush instant coffee into powder consistency)
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup buttermilk (or milk of choice)
1/4 cup vegetable oil (or oil of choice)
1 large egg
1/2 tsp vanilla extract (you can add 1 tsp if you like more vanilla)
BUTTERCREAM
1 cup butter (unsalted, softened) if you’re using salted butter I would advise against adding salt
2-3 tsp vanilla extract
salt to taste
4 cups icing sugar
3 tbsp whipping cream (you can substitute with milk)
