Pacific Connections, 2018 - Samoa

This film showcases some of the work of Samoan filmmaker Steven Percival to highlight gender based violence and the demonstrates how it has been used to inform discussion about the issue. The films shows extracts from Steve's 2015 film on GBV in Samoa, Sisi Le La’Afa - Raise the sennet Sail. It includes events in Samoa that were part of Pacific Connections, an AHRC funded networking tour of the Pacific in 2018, connecting filmmakers, policy makers, funders and organisations concerned with GBV.
