  • From Frank Capra to Fred Astaire, Paddington and now Wonka director Paul King shares his watchlist of inspirations for his prequel movie starring Timothée Chalamet.
    Wonka, also starring Hugh Grant, Olivia Colman, Keegan-Michael Key and more, is in UK and Irish cinemas via Warner Bros. from December 8, and in the US from December 15.

    If i am not wrong he will direct Fred Astaire biopic movie. They’ve lost the chance to ask him about it.

    Wonka is a beautifully magical film! Except I have to disagree with Mr King. My favorite Fred Astaire movies are Shall We Dance & Top Hat. And my favorite Frank Capra movies are You Can’t Take It With You and It Happened One Night.
