@@salmatabit8119 thanks! I’m not entirely sure what could be used in place of aluminum. It needs to be able to withstand the heat of the oven. Maybe google has some answers? Best of luck!

Would that rubber cement work on fabric material for the hair? I have a muslin doll but it seems like it would take forever with tacky or wood glue (don't even know if I should even use those)

Hiii!! I got the fabric from Walmart. They have precut broadcloth which comes in 2 yards. Joanns also sells broadcloth and you can have them cut a smaller piece. Half a yard should be more than enough. Thanks and best of luck!

Just my opinion, you definitely can buy air dry clay can tend to crack more than polymer but sometimes it can be just fine

i can't find a store that sells aluminum/tin foil near my house, do you have any recommendations that works well as a replacement for the foil?
Hi! I’m not sure what a good substitute for aluminum foil would be but here’s an article from Sculpey about what different materials can be baked in the oven with the clay:

Maybe there’s a creative way to use one of those materials? It may just be worth it to wait until your store restocks their foil though. Best of luck!
There should be tin foil at any grocery store, otherwise try amazon

Can you use a styrofoam ball for the head instead of foil?
I don’t think styrofoam would hold up in the oven. It might work if you use air dry clay instead?

What fabric is it
hey there. I was thinking if it is possible to make the head fabric too? just like in the movie. or would it loose too much detail?
Hi! You probably could, but to get the 3D shape of the head and its features the pattern would probably be pretty complicated.
You might be able to drape and glue down fabric over a sculpted head? Or maybe even press fabric into the unbaked clay to try and get the texture of the fabric on the surface? Whatever you end up doing let me know how it goes! Best of luck!
Why not make the boots out of clay and then paint them?
Does the fabric you use have a name? I was thinking of making this but I don't know what type of fabric I have to use for the body 🤔
I’m not the best at remembering fabric names, but I believe it’s called broadcloth. It’s a non-stretch cotton material.

My daughter teaches Special needs children her first year! She has non Verbal children. There is one little girl who has captured her heart! She say one thing… Coraline and puts her eyes to her eyes to check for buttons❤️ she is captivated by this movie!! So I wanted to try to get her one.
Can i bake mine for 12 min and then another 12 min if it didn’t harden? Im afraid of it cracking from heating it for too long
Curious. I don't know if u have done this as I think is the first time I watched ur video. Anyway,can u make a video of making a coraline doll just out of fabric without any clay? Like if someone wanted to make their own doll but don't have any type of clay. I have air dry clay but would be interesting to see/know how to make a coraline doll just from fabric like in the movie. Because the doll the other mother made is just fully from fabric and stuffing,no clay.

Thanks! Because the body of the doll has a wire frame you can pose the limbs, nothing too expressive though.

2-5 days depending on how much free time I spend working on it each day. I haven’t timed the hours but I’m guessing around 8-10 hours maybe?
