Hi, today I got 34mm version, before that I owe 25mm version. My first impresion was also that 34mm is about 5dB to hot. My impresion is that 25mm v. is less sensitive and sounds more relaxed and less agressive than 34mm version. I like the warmth and nice smoother highs of 25mm v. Better on 34mm is for me that is less sensitive to plosives and has a bit more open midrange. 25mm has between 2-4k more deep than 34mm. I was disapointed also that highs are not so smoothe and more harsh. So I advice to buy also cheaper, 25mm one if you can.
Thanks for that Najam, I've been curious about the 34mm capsule version after having picked up the c414 and being rather impressed with it. They definitely don't need a fethead or cloudlifter though, any decent audio interface with 48v power will provide ample gain.

The 25mm version sounds a lot more like a C414. This version is not a bad mic though...
