- Full Self Cut Low Fade Tutorial !
I only used one clipper to execute this whole fade. The clipper is by Style Craft Pro and its called the "Rebel." It was my first time ever using it and I would highly recommend that clipper for any beginning/ experienced barber, 8.5/10 !!!

great tutorial for a low fade. I've noticed i've been going too high with my low fade self cuts where it becomes a mid fade. I learned from your tutorial that I need to set the initial bald line alot lower
Yes bro !!! The first guideline will set the foundation for your cut! 💪🏼 glad I can help !🙏
U make it look so easy
Wish you would see how I started … shit would take me 3 hrs and I’d leave with a half faded haircut 😂
@@DavidEscamilla153 Lol.. been cutting my own hair for a bit now. Getting better each time. It definitely takes patience!
Those clippers are loud man. But I keep reading it's very powerful .
Really appreciate these videos. This was the video that convinced me to upgrade from my Beardscape and get serious about self cuts. In the month I’ve been watching you went from 82k to almost 92k subs. Awesome to see the channel grow. Would love to see some close ups when fading where the side of the head meets the back. For some reason those spots get me. Otherwise, keep the crispy fade tutorials coming!!
Thx for the tutorial, David..
I'll try it later when I'm brave enough, coz the process of tapping the guide line open to close is really complicated😂
but again thankyou very much 🙏🏻
Take your time bro 😂🙏
Thank you for sharing 😊
Gracias por compartir tus enseñanza Escamilla Y también por tomarte tu tiempo en español!!!
Gracias bro 😤💪🏼💪🏼
Quality cut brotha 👍🏾 💯
Appreciate it bro!!!
Your like” they actually did give us a 1.5 guard, so you Dont gotta go buy one somewhere else” as if we’re all using the same clippers as the ones yours using lol 😂
Love your videos man! One question. You said that was a half guard 1/16” but my Andis magnetic half guard is 3/32” and my zero guard is 1/16”. Not a huge difference but which one should I use?
Ive never used the magnetic andis bro. Match the length to the 0 guard ! Stick to 1/16
Has quedado muy bien y ha sido rápido.
Gracias 😤🙏
Saludos amigo wero!!!
🙏🙏🙏
from zero to .5 are you using the corner all the way through or flat blade?
Yoo this helped me big time I prefer the middle open to closed method better tho
Same!!!! I did closed to open for this video though 💪🏼
Gracias por compartir tus conocimientos, no olvides en español 🔥💪
Ya tengo canal en español hermano!
I’m an avid subscriber here from Victoria canada…
Appreciate your support 🙏🙏
@@DavidEscamilla153 I’m starting to learn barbering.. ur videos help me a lot. I’m a newbie hope u will guide me .. thnks bro… all d best
What products do you use?
What’s the point of doing number 2 close to open if you’re just gonna do 1.5 guard close to open on top of it. Aren’t you just going that low anyway so you can skip the 2 or does it make it smoother?
Awesome cut, just one question that would really help if answered. I have the 3 way mirror but the lighting doesn't favour one side. Do you use any special light on or anything that helps?
I have 2 ring lights! I don’t use the led lights… they’re not strong enough
Clean‼️ exactly how I do my hair
How’s the Rebels?
8.5/10 bro ! It was my first time using them!
@@DavidEscamilla153 came out clean for first use 👌🏽
Hey David. Well explained video. However I have a question: Do you use the 1.5 guard in the same spots you used the n.2 guard? Wouldn't that undo the work you did with the higher guard? Just want to make sure I understand it correctly. Thanks.
I use the #2 guard to create the guide and use the 1.5 to erase it. Similar to the #1 guard lever open guide !
Good video.. quick question. Do we really need to do 3 lines and then erase them . Is there a way to do just 1 line around the head and then use a number 4 or 5 guard on the top.. if so can you explain or make a video.? Thank you for your help. I really don’t care about a fade I just need something clean and neat .
No bro the 3 lines is just a technique I use sometimes. You can just do one guideline at a time from bottom up and do solid numbers like 1/2/3 setting similar 1 finger thick guidelines
Thank you for your time and help have a great day.
Any tips on being able to blend the hair at the top with the sides for people with more wavy/straight hair?? Ig with clipper over comb method
Flicking out with a higher number than doing clipper over comb and some scissor work bro ! Wish I could demonstarate on a self cut but my shit isn’t straight :/
David! Qué me recomienda esta máquina rebel o los babyliss lo pro??
Rebel >>>>
The part that I struggle with is the orientation in the mirror. Looking in the mirror is so confusing. Dont know if I'm going left, right, up, or down. Does this just get better with practice?
yes
do you have to flick out when setting in the guidelines?
Sometimes it’s necessary bro depending on how much bulk you have! If you’re experienced flick out, if not then just set a solid guideline and blend out
Just did mine but dayyuumm ain't come out as good only my second time bruh. Should be good by my third or fourth time
Keep trying bro 🤣💪🏼! You’ll get it down 😎
Do you have a recommended trimmer and clipper I should buy because I want to cut my own hair but not sure what to start with my budget is around 60 or 70 bucks I appreciate thanks
Idk for that cheap …. I should do a video on budget clippers but my biggest suggestion would be invest in the best equipment so you don’t have to buy more in the long run
Surker Gold on Amazon. They'll run you about $40-50 with a trimmer combo. Also comes with 0.5 and 1.5 guards.
Yo Brother! You think i can do this without having a half guard or the 1.5 guard? I only have clippers (0 gapped), the no. 1 guard, and the no. 2 guard. Appreciate you !
My guy luiiii !
Bro I would highly recommend going to Sally’s or Amazon and ordering a .5 guard and a 1.5 guard 😭 you’re basically skipping 2 steps in a haircut if you don’t have those clips … i have a video where I don’t use the .5 guard on my channel fam. Fade came out like 7/10 and it was hard af to blend
good video. Where can we order the clippers, and use your David code? thx
Ima put the link down for you! I should’ve done that lol… still learning how to do this 🤣🙏
They have it on their website ! It’s style craft pro .com
@@DavidEscamilla153 appreciate it!! ty
@@DavidEscamilla153 i found the site, but the code isn't working? is it only for a certain trimmer? thx
What leave in do u use lol?
Coconut creme conditioner ! Ima link that below rn give me a sec 😂🙏
Great video! I was actually thinking about getting that rebel after so many good reviews I’ve seen on it. Do you know if the andis double magnetic guards fit the rebel clippers?
I don’t know bro:/ the rebel has magnetic guards already that are pretty solid bro ! Ima buy some andis guards rn to see if they fit 🙏
@@DavidEscamilla153 thanks bro appreciate it keep up the great videos! Literally learning how to cut hair through your videos Definitely Gonna have a good foundation when I start barber school 🙏🏼
They don’t fit unless you mod the clipper with a Andis or oster blade
@@FaTaL1h got it thanks bro
😭 Promo-SM!!!
😂🙏
One thing I enjoy about watching your videos is your attention to detail: Normally, nothing slips by you, and you provide thorough work. It's because of that that I'm concerned. This video, I've noticed some errors in your "step by step" video. This is really unlike you, which is why I wanted to point it out. You intentionally left out how to cut the hair on the left side of your head. While we can assume all the guidelines and guards are the same on both sides, you have to remember some of us are beginners. We don't know how to deal with the left side (left side is our non-dominant hand). Do we continue to cut with our right hand? How to hold the clipper with our right hand when cutting on the left side? When you don't include the left side, then this is no longer a step by step video. We need all viewpoints to better guide us to cut all sides of the head. That's why I'd like to invite you to zoom in the camera the next time you do another self cut video, especially when showing us how to use the clipper corners to cut. Thank you.
I need to get a better set up to be able to film the other side! Im working from the corner of a room by the door & I’ll definitely include the left side and more detailed work. Sometimes I feel like it’ll be too much for one video but I’ll just make it longer bro! 🙏
Awesome thanks for the video
