absolutely beautiful! she is certainly a jewel! Me and my wife are set to go to china between march and may 2011 for our "gotcha day". We are getting a little boy. he's 4 years old.....we can barely contain ourselves...we are so happy and can't wait to go. we would love to speak to you if possible about your experience and what we can expect!
They are doing well! Thank you for asking. Our oldest daughter is about to graduate High School, and Maria is in the 9th grade of High School. Last year she finally finished her time in dental braces and now her smile is even more beautiful! :-)
@CampbellScot Hi Scot Campbell, Maria has CP in her right side. Her foot and hand is smaller and has little strength. She has a limp when she walks as well. It is a mild CP and it's very hard to see on video. You do see it in person but sometimes even then you do have to point it out to people.
I think you have to consider the impact of something this momentous to her life as well. She went from being the only daughter and suddenly came to the realization that she would share this role. It was a big change, and yes, we did have our challenges. But now the older daughter is about to turn 18 years old and Maria will be 18 in December. They have done well and they love each other very much! 🤓
Kybeline you obviously don't have a clue about the choices people make about how they build families. Would you prefer this child grow up in an orphanage never having a mom or dad?
It's unnatural to be able to love a child you did not give birth to it is it unnatural to have the desire to give a child a home and family that has none? I think it's unnatural to have no understanding of human compassion
I guess because I was raised by my South Korean Mom that I'm not as calloused as you. My wife and I saw that although we can't help every orphan child, that we could at least provide a home and love for one. Maria has been a wonderful blessing to us!
