  • The episcia is one of my favorite houseplants for many reasons. Their gorgeous foliage with striking silver, wispy light leaves, stoloniferous growth habit, ease of care, and fast growth speed are just some of the reasons. I share full care tips in this video, and as usual, I propagate it and give you guys an update over the next few months.

I keep mine in self watering, ceramic violet pots. They're all grown under grow lights because my cacti hog all the natural light. I'm the only one in my plant circle who is in love with these plants; my friends don't understand. It's nice to see others on here who love them, too. I don't feel so alone. :D

I live in Tokyo. Long hot summers that can be humid and cold dry winters. My plants survive the winter well just in side the window next to the balcony. In winter there is a lot of sunshine. Few gray days. So I watch the plants to see the reaction. Philodendrons etc seems fine. So far.
