thank you man, love your videos keep it up
Parsa Borghei congratulations

Cheers for the video content! Apologies for the intrusion, I am interested in your initial thoughts. Have you heard about - Tarbbatigan Cars Rehabilitation Tip (google it)? It is a good one off product for learning how to repair your car the easy way without the hard work. Ive heard some awesome things about it and my mate after many years got amazing results with it.
First thing I notice is there's a car, in your car.
Person on the internet i notice that you are right
"Here's my toy car
Here's my REAL car"
Chief Shitlord you also watch Regular Car Reviews, don't you?
I bet it’s an automatic lol
Anono_beast while you watch a guy driving a car with a car inside the same car.
literally bought a manual car without knowing how to drive it and had no way to get it home. I sat in the car and watched this vid twice and was able to get it home. Real life saver
still have the car?
after driving auto for 2 years AND 2 paid lessons for manual... your video taught me more than the $90 Ive just paid the driving school. I'm off to buy my manual car.... thank you so much.
Maretta Bertram so glad I could help!

Wow a manual tutorial that actually makes sense and is very easy to understand? Finally!!!
I knew it wasn't THAT hard but so many other people suck at explaining this. Thank You!!
cronicjointpain I'm so glad you found it helpful!
Upshift Unlimited
Thanks
so fukn true!! my bf tried and we just ended up arguing. thanks for DA video!!
cronicjointpain I dealt with that my whole time in H.S. with Algebra. And I'm an expert at everything I attempt to do. Even if I enjoyed or put more effort in one more than the other. It was enough to take what I need and apply it to self or others situations. But I hated algebra. I can do it tho. Now its just something that takes a long time to do nothing. Doesn't even apply to most or any of your life. But I did get a different understanding of this. At the end of my H.S. Years. After I transferred. My alt school in the city helped me more than the suburban n regular schools. So its always about the teacher. Hate text book teachers anyway.
cronicjointpain it's pretty easy actually don't know why people hate it.
Thank you young man !
I am 65 and just beginning to learn how to drive a manual. You are the only video that I could find that actually showed how to reverse the car.
AWESOME !
Your video makes sense and is very helpful.
Again thank you.
Sincerely,

That is awesome! 🙂. You'll pick it up if you really love it and don't let anyone tell you otherwise! ❤ cheers from Australia 👍

I'm honestly not so sure why I'm watching this when I've already completely mastered manuals. I gotta give this guy credit though for making it so understandable for even the people who don't have a single clue how manuals work. I feel like if I had to try to teach a complete newbie how to drive a manual, I would just lose all patience after his third or fourth try XD
I know this is 3 years ago....but bro your instructions are on point, I have just finished my driving lesson in manual transmission. So if just in case i forget all the lessons that I had learned while waiting to get my first car then I'll just go back to watch your videos! Thanks a lot and god bless!

might sound stupid but can you show how to reverse park on a manual - I really liked your explanation - was great
Karen Moses nothing is too stupid because you were the smartest one to ask that question when some people might not know
I can see what I can do, it seems like several people want to see this based off the likes on your comment :p
Upshift Unlimited you explain everything clear, thank you looks simple!
isnt the car soppouse to lurch/jump forward when u start it up in first gear? or it didnt because you was holding the clutch?!

10/10 tutorial.
I know this video is a few years old but thank you!! I’m a 16 year old girl and no one in my family understands why I want to drive manual. They don’t know how so I’m learning myself😊
I'll be honest watching alot of these types of videos helped me almost a year ago when learning how to drive stick. Your parents may think CZcams videos like this won't help ( like mine think ) but don't listen to them. These can be very helpful to a brand new driver. Thank you sir
props for you to sacrificially stall your car to show us what not to do. and very great video so thank you for what you did man 👍💪🖒👊
Kaelin Middleton hahaha I do my best :p glad you enjoyed the video man!
Upshift Unlimited no problem man keep it up 💪🖒👊👍
My car that I got for my bday was a manual, i didnt know how to even start it, after watching this a few times I can drive the thing like a pro now! Thanks man!! 🤘🏼
I can fly a DC-10 jet aircraft, and I'm just now learning to drive manual. Jesus Christ what is my life?
Lol in the sim or irl
"You never ever want to touch this without pressing the clutch"
God Arm wants a word
I have been driving standard for 32 years but never taught anyone. I am attempting to teach my 17 year old grand daughter and this video seems to make the most sense to use in teaching her how to drive. You were very thorough (most others I seen skip a critical step in starting in first gear). Thanks for making it :-)
How did she do?
Mate it's a smart idea when u're at a red light to put the car in neutral, not just for the clutch wear, but for the sake of giving your left leg a rest. You don't know how long the red light will be. Plus, the only extra step u do take will be a refreshing push down onto the clutch with ur left leg which has been resting for a good minute, and a simple slide up into first gear. This is what you should be teaching, as it is the more correct method.
I usually switch it into first gear when I know my green light is due any second and I'm one of the first cars in line (this method will force the driver to learn traffic light sequences and to keep them aware and ready), or if I am far back in the queue of cars, I will keep the car in neutral for as long as I need until I see the 3rd car in front of me start rolling forward. Remember, you want to minimise the wear on both your car and your left leg lol.
Amirichi yes, you are correct. Since posting this video, I have changed the way I stay at red lights, and I have adopted the exact method you're talking about haha I wish I hadn't ever said that I leave it in first :P Thank you!
Upshift Unlimited lol well that's good to know you adapted! Eventually you find better ways to amend old habits. I've been driving manual for almost 12 years and I'm still learning something new everytime I drive it's ridiculous. Great video nonetheless, very good explanation.
Amirichi thank you, I really appreciate it! I've only been driving manual for just over a year haha
Dude its fine to put your car in gear when stopping in a red light. It dosen't change the fuel economy and putting it in nuetral then going in gear can wear out transmission.
Very good video for beginners. I’ve been driving manual since I was 15 years old I’m now 37. Definitely the hardest part about driving manual is getting the car moving from neutral to 1st gear once you’ve got that down it’s all good. Only thing I disagree with is holding the clutch at a light in 1st gear. When at a light it’s best to hold clutch down and shift to neutral and hold the brake only. When light turns green, push clutch down and shift into 1st gear as you would normally start and away you go. As you get better you’ll learn how to downshift coming to a stop which saves your brakes instead of just switching into neutral to come to a full stop.
I’ve got to say this is probably the best instructional video I’ve seen! It’s step by step and it shows you’ve got patience in teaching. Fantastic! I drove Manuel a while back but this is the refresher I needed! Thank you soooo much! 😄🤙🏼
Hands down the best video introduction/tutorial I've seen here. Clear, concise and straight to the point! Thank you so much for this.
I've literally learnt to drive manual when I was 11, now I'm 15 and whenever I visit my country, I can drive freely within my county.
I did drive manual at age 4 :D
I learnt when I was 1
+Lloyd Jones I learned when in the womb
i learned to drive at the age of 10 or 9
I didn't learn, I was spawned from a clutch.
After 15 years of driving manual, it's interesting to see the complexity of the stuff you do absolutely automatically without thinking about it.
Great tutorial for beginners!
I'm nervous about driving stick; I desperately need to get to the store and only have access to a stick shift car....so after watching this, I feel a lot more comfortable...thanks a bunch man!
very intuitive
My instructor expected me to drive like a pro just for 1 day :(
Then my dad starts to yell at me for not driving properly. Urgg

When I was in driving school few years ago, my instructor was the same thing. 🤣🤣🤣
I just started driving and literally it kept stalling, more than 10 times 😭 I feel so overwhelmed
It’s okay same. I just started learning manual like last week and then bought a 2015 Subaru BRZ manual transmission. Oof
Not the same at a lil kia I thought a learned on. LOOOLL I have stalled my new baby like 10x already and I got her yesterday smh. And it’s exactly where this guy says I would. From stop to 1st gear. I’m so overwhelmed and hoping I get better.
Yea, I’m sticking to automatic, this is too much for my brain
Yes it hurts i get embarrassed and i get mixed emotions
It was the same for me bruh but i kept practicing now i do it without thinking just keep practicing
@@evla606-4 yeah I've been practicing now it's really easy
You're right, there are billions of other manual trans tutorials out there but it's really helpful to see different schools of thought. Case in point, your's is the first one I've seen to do that 1st gear at a stop method. Getting going from a stop in stop-and-go traffic is the thing I'm having the hardest time with right now and that could help. Thanks.
I'm so scared of stalling it takes me like 5 minutes to fully let my foot off the clutch
You'll get it!
you'll master it
Remember that hard launching a car one time from first gear is a lot harder on the clutch assembly than stalling multiple times so don't feel like you'll break the clutch or wear it out. If you think you'll stall... then you're gonna stall. Driving stick is a simple concept, but the majority of it is mental from a beginner's stand point
Well said
Thanks everybody :)
Is it just me or does this dude look like Sheen from Jimmy Neutron
I see it too, I don't remember the names but I think he eve wears a similar shirt
Oh nawwwww!!! 😂 you sized that nigga!!!
😂😂 i cant unsee that
Nah he’s skinny John Cena.
Yo dude i can see it now😂💯
Great video. I just bought my first car that is manual transmission and I have no idea how to drive it. When I practiced for the first time, I stalled out 3 times. I just kept having trouble starting out in first gear and getting past it. My dad is currently teaching me but I have also been looking at videos so I can learn that way. Your video actually helped me more than the other ones out there. Gonna be practicing again today! Thank you!
Did you learn finally???
@@coleon9437 yes but would you believe a deer hit my car and totaled it? Now I drive an automatic 🙃
I just got a manual car as my first car and this video is so helpful, I have only driven my car a few inches to park it somewhere else but I didn't stall out the following times. I will definitely use this video when I'm learning to drive my car 😁 Thanks so much!
dude, my dad has tried to teach me how to drive a manual car for 3 weeks now... I just want to say that your video was and still is really helpful for me... so thank you so much for making this vid!
This is actually the tutorial that helped me the most, thanks dude :D
I'm gonna be getting my license in January or February so I'm trying to learn these stuff before then and save it in a playlist.
I'm gonna watch this about 500 times. I'm looking around for a used older BMW that's manual so I could really use this
You rock ! This is simple and perfect! Over 20years of driving automatic and always sucked at manual ... until this... wow!
Great job showing of the basics. Very clearly explained, thank you!
This tutorial is actually very informative! I've been driving manual for 4 years, I actually learned on a 66 f100, and I was able to learn a few tips. The hardest thing to learn is being rough when drag racing haha
Thank you so much!! I started practising on a manual car three years back but gave up altogether because those teaching me were not patient expecting me to know things and we ended up arguing all the time. This tutorial helped make sense to the things I had learned and I am now more encouraged to give it another go.
I've been looking at a lot of CZcams videos on this topic and yours has by far been the most beneficial. You kept it simple, yet thorough, and you gave a lot of good strategies and tricks to remember everything. So thank you!
Thank you for this video! Very simple, well-said, & straight forward. Eventually going to be practicing for manual
Aawww...thank you. I'll start my driving lessons next monday. Wish me luck.
Watching in 2020 getting prepared for my first manual car and gotta say, this video is EXTREMELY helpful. Thank you very much! Definitely subbing.
thank you, as a beginner (just finished my 10 hr. driving lesson) this helps a lot, very clear explanation plus with your practical encouragement.

Great old video bro! I enjoyed and learned from your video in 2020!!
After watching this video I learned the basics and felt confident. I am now on my first week of learning manual with a friend's car.. Thank you for uploading this video. Definitely recommend for others who want to learn.
This is exactly how I teach people to drive a manual. THANK YOU! Finally, somone does a good job in explaining this in a super easy understandable way! Will definitely be sending people to your video who ask me to teach them in the future.
The best gear selection based on km/h in most cars:
1st = 0-20 km/h
2nd = 20-40 km/h
3rd = 40-60 km/h
4th = 60-80 km/h
5th = 80-100 km/h
6th =100+ km/h
I would call that bad advice. Unless you are accelerating, you want to keep your rpm low. All your gear selections are wrong if those are cruising speeds. It's more like:
1st = just to get going, you will rarely use this gear for anything else
2nd = When the car is rolling but not much more than so
3rd = 30-40 ish
4th = From say 45 ish
5th = From slightly under 70
6th = I've never driven a 6 speed car, but I would assume from slightly under 90
For cruising, you'll get the best fuel economy when you hit as low RPMs as possible without the engine lugging (then it's too low!).
But if you are on the lower end and need to accelerate, then downshift first.
Or try to keep the rpm at around 1500
LmaoGAMES
The sweet spot will be different för different cars. Just listen to the engine. But somewhere around 1500 will be about right for most petrol cars.
Imtotallydiggingthis true :)
You should be able to hear when it needs to be in a higher gear
This video was actually very helpful
Thank you so much for this! I've had 6 hours of manual driving lessons so far and I feel like I'm still not getting it. I can only do my lessons during weekends due to work so I forget some of the stuff I learned. This video helped me refresh my memory and also taught me some things my instructor hasn't. :)
I've been driving stick for 5 years. what am i doing here
Suso hahaha wtf
You are seeing if he is explaining it right hehe
Same. But I'm just curious and have nothing to watch.

I am a driver trainer who drives manuals only, and I am so glad that you are teaching to start off with no throttle. I teach all of my students this. Then when they are doing normal driving they will not burn the clutch each time they start off. In normal driving you do not need much throttle to start off, unless you are racing. Your clutch will last much longer if you know this. Great video !
I have watched a lot of driving classes but this guy is very simple and clear. Thanks
Wish all driving instructors would teach like you do.
I got my first stick after not driving one for over 10 years and was incredibly nervous about driving one again after so long. Watched your video for a refresher and it really helped. Drove the car home from the Dealer with no issues. Thanks!!
Out of alot of videos, yours is one of the best! I'm learning how to drive a standard. I've been practicing and watching videos so I drive correctly. I really like how you explain it
This is by far the best tutorial! Thank you so much !
dude this helped me soooo much,thank you!!!
good video. the guy gives good pointers.
Thank you man! Sometimes I am really think that I am slow or stupid when I start wirh the driving license, and my teacher scream all the time and I can't learn anything. From you now I got it! Thank you!
Really helpful! Thanks for showing us how to. I've been wanting to learn really how to drive manual and I want a manual for my first car. Like you say, and how my dad says too, learning manual gives you more opportunities. Thanks for the video. Really helpful
thank you for this video . it was by far the easiest to understand. i attempt for the first time tomorrow wish me luck!!!
I'm going for my first try every tomorrow too xD
it was awesome explain and minimum fuss, thanks fro. india
I like the way you dont beat around the bush and make everything seem complicated, like other car driving video's on CZcams. I will keep watching this, thanks man 👍
Thank you for this! You explained it perfectly, so simple and easy to FINALLY understand!
Very helpful and super easy on the eyes LOL
Because this video..now I have my car license
Thanks a lot 😬😬
THIS. I work for an online car dealership and I had my first lesson last night, did not go great 😂 you're the 7th or 8th tutorial I've watched and I don't know what it is, gotta be all in the language because with your directions I actually get it 👍
VERY clear & detailed ! Like how you actually do take ur time to explain ( and show) every single detail ; some youtubers out there would do what u just did ( but in a 1-3 mins video , expecting u to pick up all of that info almost instantly as if u’ve been driving manual already). Anyway GOOD JOB buddy ! 👍
Thanks! I can finally take moms car and buy sweats without her noticing
How I understand how to drive a manual:
1. Put your foot on the clutch when starting up the car
2. Put your foot on the clutch again to put to first gear
3. Slowly remove your leg from the clutch to start moving
4. Change to second gear (and so and so on)
Am I correct?
CapsLock that's it!
Upshift Unlimited yay thanks I'm gonna be an expert driver!!! :)
u should add some gas before u go into another gear cause driving on stock gas(when the car is moving by its own) is not good for fuel economy and also u don't have any accerelation
If you’re driving and you’re pressing the gas pedal should you press the clutch again for breaking or just step the break immediately? (like if someone crossing street too fast)
Best tutorial period. So patient and actually good at explaining! Thank u sm!
Just wanted to say this is the best manual tutorial I’ve seen. You did an amazing job explaining things, when I release the clutch I tend to squeal the tires and give it to much gas haha but I’m getting better at not doing it.😊
Hi...thank you for doing this video...ive been driving for 25 yrs and am just now attempting to learn manual. I have watched MANY tutorials and your video was one that helped the most. I always wondered if people who are comfortable and been driving manual for a while still stall out. Im not gonna lie Im a nervous wreck still and am still trying to figure out the appropriate times to downshift. And we have quite a few round-a-bouts where I live and thats been an issue for me as well...i want to trade my car for an automatic just because it is very frustrating but Im sticking it out in the hopes that i will eventually get it down solid lol But just wanted to say awesome video and thanks😉
Aww! Thank you so much! I'm glad I could help you out a bit!
It takes a bit to get really good and comfortable with it, and yes, I stalled out earlier this week and I've been driving manual for a year :P
I have faith! Downshifting is tough, just try to get the basics down first and then give it a shot! My best suggestion is to get out on empty roads that aren't used that much and just drive drive drive, good luck!

Awesome tutorial. I watched a few different ones on here and this is definitely my favorite. It's easy to understand and I feel like I'm ready to go and start driving manual!
Best teaching I have ever seen on CZcams video ...
this was actually the most helpful and simple video I've seen so far. and I've watched quite a few... :/
I'm learning. Today I messed up badly and my teacher got upset and now I'm thinking about quitting
Why would your teacher get upset?
This is the best manual car tutorial I've ever watched THANK U SO MUCH! I understand it alot!
Easily the best tutorial out there! I never thought i'd ever understand how it works until I watched this tutortial!
Reverse just goes fast because it’s a single gear
you mean *race mode*
If you want to go fast after 5th gear just pull it up to R= racing mode, thanks me later :)
taba boy 😂😂😂
lol 🤣🤣
taba boy for any dummies, R means reverse do not try this
taba boy Hahaha lol
I did that in driving school game even with ur leg on the clutch your car would get fucked
Honestly real talk you’re the best teacher/instructor i’ve found so far.
I've been driving an automatic for 11 years, it's time to learn manual as I want to buy a mini Cooper clubman S. 😊 My man drives a standard, so he will be teaching me but I wanted to have some knowledge before even getting In the driver's seat. Thank you for being clear and instructional 😊 I tried manual once and I remember getting going was the hardest letting go of the clutch slow enough and giving it enough gas, I found difficult. hopefully this time around I can get it! 😊
i font stall but when lights turn green my take off is hella slow.... any tips on taking off faster
MindSeducer practice practice practice, with time you'll get more and more used to where the bite point is and you'll be starting up faster
Rev it to redline and then dump the clutch.
chris kallfelz lol not the best advice but you’ll have dope ass burnouts every time you launch from a green light
Before the light turns green bring the clutch up halfway while holding down the brake ( or handbrake) and the car will be ready to move off and as soon as it's green release the brake and the car will move off immediately. Thank me later.
Thanks for teaching me how to shift Btw I'm 12 years old
