  • I have been wanting to put a TPMS system on my trailer for the longest time so I can see real time what the pressure of the tires and the temperature are.

    I don't own this machine but with that issue where you can only set "high" to 101 is because your low was at 100. Once you lower the "low" to your specified low, you can adjust the "high" down more. Probably just a weird coding bug or its coded to prevent the high and low setting being flipped. I could be very wrong. But I've seen some weird interfaces with issues like that lol

      I might try that now because I would like the hight to be around 85ish

      My only issue with this system was my 2500 needed 80psi in the rear tires and the max warning was 85 so after my tires were warm I had to unplug it cigarette lighter recieved or it beeped the high pressure warning all the time. I would just use it as a cold pressure check.

      John, then you should use one designed for RVs/Trailers

    Super smart to have for tailer tires. Many neglect wheel bearing temp and trailer tire pressure. Can even possibly save your life during the summer months.

    If you take that leaking tire with a plug to a tire service, they can put a patch on the inside of the tire. We had one of our tires done like that and we've had no issues. A plug is only a temporary measure to get to back on the road until you can get to a tire service to get it fixed properly. You don't need to buy a new tire, just get it patched.

      It had a big bolt in it so the tire is messed up

    Just installed this in my RV. Takes a while for the sensors to report, but it does well. Wish the unit had a dually configuration.

    Just remember to keep those sensors tight on the valve stem, I have ran a set up that was similar to that just by a different manufacturer, you have a slightly weighted ball going in a circle so if it's not tight it could come off.

      They come with a brass lock nut u put on the stem first then u can lock the sensor on with the lock nut.

    Try running nitrogen in your tires. It's far more stable and has far less issues with varying tire pressure due to expansion. It's the water vapor in the air that causes the expansion when the tire gets hot.

    I just bought a Tireminder A1AS for my RV. It was pricey, but I didn't want to take a chance on a lesser known brand. I also have 8 tires on the coach plus the 4 on my towed vehicle.

      @debnovak19 Před rokem +1

      How do you remove your tow vehicle without it beeping that the monitors aren't functioning? Do I need to disable the tow vehicle tire pressure monitoring senses to do this? We have a system for our RV, and want to put it on our tow vehicle also.

    • @nathanielmoore87
      @nathanielmoore87 Před rokem +1

      @@debnovak19 That I don't know. I have a motorhome, so I'd be removing my towed vehicle. I upgraded the sensors to the flow through type so I don't have to remove them to add air. The main system is still in the box. I hope to set it up and test soon. I will post back here when I have an answer.

    Nice I have used these TPMS sensors for years off wish on several vehicles. It's so convenient with the valve stem mounted system. My only issue is one of my sensors started killing it's battery very quickly the other three the battery lasts over a year usually no changes needed. It's so easy to reprogram the cigarette lighter receiver. Have u ever watched czcams.com/video/znJmVndhLJ4/video.html he is amazing at building carbon airplane parts and I think many of his ideas for moulds would work in automotive for intakes or carbon exterior pieces like headlights, tail lights interior trim.
