Thank You sir for this detailed video...without beating around the bush you straight dive into topic unlike other videos.
Thank you for updating about dashcams.
Thanks.
For all your videos. your videos are Honest and also rare in CZcams. for the details with comparison review.
*please make a video about newly launched Phillips Dash cam*
Thank you for the detailed review
Awaiting for detailed video 😊
Awesome information video ❤thanks brother 🎉
Glad to help 👍🏻
Wow what an innovative feature
Thanks for the video. Dual storage and NightVIS is the best
Much prominence is given to number plate read ability capability,ok but give samples of video quality of fast moving other vehicles and also when the vehicle is moving fast on highways
Thanks for detailing so well for N5 dual. As always you are fantastic in explaining. Somehow after seeing the video, it seems like viofo mini 2 is better than this but only lagging thing is the dual channel. But viofo mini2 screen which is missing here on N5 dual. What's your take on this N5 dual as compared to viofo if rear one i dont consider at all?? Also what is your opinion on Redtiger f9 which has almost similar features like this???
The radar motion detection feature is still untested in N5. So that is something to be seen yet. In regards to Mini 2, it's definitely a worthy camera, the only drawback being it doesn't get a rear camera. But having a Starvis 2 sensor is very important in a dashcam and the mini 2 is clearly technically superior choice.
@@traveltechyoutube thanks for your reply. But can you also reply if you have any opinions on redtiger F9 if radar is somewhat not looking for as it's possible only in hardwiring in park mode
Awaiting for detailed review after connecting Radar once it's released
Please suggest CPL filter for DDPAI N5 DUAL. Also please review CPL filters.
What capacity SD card would you recommend?
cant find any info on when they will release the radar motion detector in india, got any info on it?
Is Scandisk Max Endurance compatible with this DDPAI N5 dual dashcam ? Please also suggest other compatible memory card options for this dashcam. Thanks for the comprehensive review.
Get this: amzn.to/3PCySa3
Sir please make a video on best 360 degree camera for cars ❤
In my opinion, the product is slightly overpriced. Furthermore, the radar accessories will not be released in India in the near future, as confirmed by Nexdigitron support.
Hi @TravelTech,
I bought this DashCam. Everything seems to be fine, except the fact that when I am removing the SD card for the cam and trying to read it on my mac it is unreadable. I tried formating the memory card multiple time however as soon as I put it back to the dashcam it is unreadable by my mac book air! I am using a Sandisk high endurance 64GB card.
Try reading it in a windows laptop. If may be due to format incompatibility.
Started now 😊
Which one to go 70 mai A500s or DDPai N5 interms of night number plate visibility? Kindly suggest @traveltech
For night number plate readability, a Starvis2 powered dashcam will be more helpful. Both A500 and N5 Dual although can read number plate at night, they cannot if it's under headlight glare. Between A500 and N5, the N5 Dual is more better since it's 4K resolution
Which is better between this n5 dual with the z50? And also between the two, which has better clarity & number plate readability? Thinking of buying between this 2. Thanks
Z50 is discontinued model. N5 is the latest one. But Z50 had Starvis sensor which N5 does not. So technically the video quality should be better in Z50.
I think n5 dual has same sony starvis 1 sensor imx 418@@traveltechyoutube
Night footage is good. Need to see how it looks after CPL filter
Pl suggest CPL filter for N5 if you have bought one.
Do we need to purchase additional wirekit to this dashcam
If needed, please provide a link for the same
If you want parking mode, then yes you need to purchase a OBD2 hardwiring kit. Here is the link: amzn.to/3UbLbM3
Solid...but lack of screen
Can you post the AI radar motion detection device review also if that is available in the market?
It's still under testing and not yet available in the market
Can you please make a video for DDPAI N5 Dual vs DDPAI X5 Pro.
X5 Pro is outdated model
Sir, Which are the best dash cams for the hot and humid conditions in kerala
All current dashcams are well suited for hot conditions as they are advanced in their technology. Whats your maximum budget for a dashcam?
@@traveltechyoutube 15,000
Please suggest me which one should i buy,my budget is under 10K.
Nexdigitron Prime is value for money. If you can extend your budget slightly, go with 70mai A500 Dual
@@traveltechyoutube thankyou for your reply 😊
Wait for video
Hi. Can I use obd port to connect the front dashcam?
Yes you can
@@traveltechyoutube Thanks for the reply. 👍🏼 Your video is very helpful.
Is this 8MP sensor Sony IMX415?
It is an 8MP camera. But the sensor hasn't been specifically mentioned anywhere. And since it's an 8MP lens, it's capable of shooting native/true 4K, irrespective of the sensor used.
@@traveltechyoutube of course, sounds like it's the IMX415 though because I can't think of any other 4k sensors off the top of my head. Shame it's not Starvis 2 then
Does this support connection to OBD port ?
Yes
Is it better than Ddpai mini 5 in terms of video quality
Well probably not much. Both are 4K. Mini 5 has IMX415 sensor, whereas they have not mentioned about it in N5.
what soc and cmos this N5 dual is using?
Info not provided by ddpai
Nice Dashcam but the price should be little less so that most of them could afford it
Built-in eMMC means it's a time bomb eWaste. Storage on eMMc fails after fixed read/write cycles. Hope camera works only with SD card even if eMMC fails.
eMMc storage is for emergency video files. Regular videos are recorded on the sdcard only. Hence the read/write cycle of the eMMC storage is drastically reduced extendeding the lifespan for many years.
@@traveltechyoutube Thank you for clarifying 👍❤️ then it shouldn't be a problem much since emergency videos are hardly 1 or 2 per driving session.
Exactly
does this camera record sounds?
Yes
Is it better than 70mai a500s???
Too early to say. But based purely on specs, 4K is definitely better than 1944p
Please make more detailed video and compare with same price.
Will try!
I wonder if this is better than 70mai a810
No it isn't.
@@traveltechyoutube Hello, can you please make a comparison video of 70MAI A810 vs DDPAI N5 !? Also if you can add the comparisons of the respective mobile app's (in terms of features & ease of use) as well in the same video, Thanks.
Will try. But do note that A810 has Starvis2 sensor which is simply the best and N5 isn't a match for it
what is the sensor ?
Sensor information not provided anywhere by ddpai.
AI radar feature is the game changer
Yes
It is. But the abysmally low framerates utterly KILLS the entire thing. 4k @30fps means it'll have problems capturing the tag of a stationary vehicle at 4 meters, much less resolve details on *anything* in motion.
Needs to be 60fps minimum, or 120fps (at 2k resolutions).
AI radar is working in India as well?
Currently testing it.
@@traveltechyoutube so should I order N5? Or any other suggestions
Max budget?
@@traveltechyoutube may be around 15k.. starvis 2 and parking recording also required if we can keep warranty of car intact
Priced a bit high imo
Installed 4 hrs back😂
Hows the quality
@@ankti10 Probably pretty bad.
Good but at this price point there must be screen
Agreed
Just happened across this manufacturer in one of the many dashcam video channels... it showed all sorts of stuff on the recording; vehicle speed, other vehicles speeds, though no telemetry from the vehicle itself.
Then I started looking into the camera and... well... had to laugh at the horrible quality. The gimmicks are nice, but if the camera can't produce a usable video it's worthless.
25fps? 30fps? Those framerates can't capture any detail at all and no amount of AI post processing will magically clear up badly captured video, whether it's 720 or 4k. Modern cameras should be capturing, at a minimum, 60fps @4k or 120fps at @2k. Trying to upscale older CMOS chips by lowering framerates will only create the 2020s version of a potato cam.
If this company wants to compete in the quality dashcam field they need to up their chips and their framerate, then their side-gimmicks will help. Having the dual-memory is unique, and it supports huge SD capacity. The radar function (if it actually exists vs. an AI algorithm) is also unique.
Also... ditch the 'hardwire only' connection. Not a lot of users want to go through the trouble of hardwiring, their vehicle won't support it (without extensive modifications), and/or they're not willing to pay the price of the camera to get a professional to install it.
