When I heard this morning that the actor who played Jim Trot had passed, I knew immediately who he was, such is the strength of how good the old programs were, how memorable they were. Truely better times. RIP.
Me too.... I'm just so glad the dementia cannot hurt him or his loved ones further.....

Oh Jim. I always looked forward to seeing and laughing at his scenes on Dibley. There was always something heart-warming to this show which I feel is no longer present on television (or streaming). RIP Trevor Peacock.

David, instead of just acknowledging the heads-up, instead trails off on "wait till the next meeting to apologise for your absence from the next meeting". Not to mention how David then wants Jim to inform about his (Jim's) absence beforehand ... which is precisely what Jim is doing! 😖😣😵 David's entire trail of thought here is utter bollix, and Jim was absolutely right to point it out. David is kind of the snobbiest of all the characters, so it is always humorous to see him brought down a notch by one of the other characters.

From my experience of this sort of meeting, people do this all the time and Jim is being perfectly reasonable in this instance. Normally he's the one causing confusion but here it's David being pedantic that causes it.

That man was an amazing actor! His Jim character was the best! Kudos to Dawn French! I think she actually wrote most of this show? Even if she didn't, the woman is a genius and I will love her to the end of time. If it ever comes out that she was a secret duck twiddler, I won't care! I would still have her babies! Well, at least try. Lacking ovaries and a uterus, might take us a while...
