Rejection is even more painful when the person lead you on and drew you in, and made you feel like they were interested, only to completely stop reaching out, once you become attached. 😪

This is what I'm going through as well.. but I don't even know for sure. She left me confused and doesn't want to talk. I made some mistakes but I was always genuine and trying.. We lasted for two months and when I finally felt safe and started to believe that this was real she just left me, ignoring me ever since.
I've been hurting for more than half a year trying to cope..
@@hgzmatt I'm so sorry my man....but don't lose hope there is someone far better out there you just gotta wait and they'll come around
@@hgzmatt Be proud of yourself for putting yourself out there for what you want, that is how real world bravery looks like. Every thought and feeling you had during your time together was real and worthy of being acknowledged, the silent treatment is a form of psychological abuse employed consciously by the narcissistic and unconsciously by the insecure to make the victim feel insecure and /or unworthy, so dont ever take it personally unless there was an obvious thing you did to make the other person feel hurt and want to hurt you back. Truth is, it speaks about her and not you.
The moment pains...
But it takes time and effort to heal
Sometimes, you are rejected because, you are a person of high quality and you don't match with the person who has low qualities. They subconsciously recognized it and ,by rejecting you, they just set you up for someone else who better matches your high quality life.
Amen, sister.
I think it's self protection for them.. they are not facing certain issues within them and so they are rejecting you in an effort to block out uncomfortable truths.
I went for a very creative career and I get rejected constantly by people in very traditional jobs.. to the point I dread it when I get asked. Because inevitably you will see the judgement in their faces.
Sometimes
Needed that
I just loved what you said about being "a person of high quality and you don't match with the person who has LOW qualities." Been there and done that and it hurt but survival was in my corner.
I have been feeling suicidal the last few weeks because my now ex boyfriend, dumped me for another woman , the pain is so deep I couldn't handle it, but I prayed and I have been watching videos, yes some about pain Free suicide , I watched a few and I found it helpful, so even though I feel suicidal, I won't because, if I do, I'll lose out on the guy I'm actually meant to be with. Thank you GOD for showing me, and thank you to this man , for helping me not want to kill myself. Thank you
Many felt that way after breakup. My ex girlfriend broke up with me from day to day because she fell for someone in new work and forgot about all those years with me... It felt like end of the world until i realized that i am actualy happy thay it happened cause i wanted to spend rest of my life with her and she dont deserve me... I was always by her side and supported her in her worst moments and she didnt value nothing i did for her... So i deserve someone better... So ye you might feal like its all over and that person was the best, and you might be long time alone after that, but trust me... You will find someone better, cause you are better !
Sempre tem alguém pior. Eu por exemplo nunca namorei. Entende? Espero que vc traduza e se sinta melhor ❤️
I'm sorry to hear that. If you are ready to do the inner work hit me up ❤👑
That’s insecurity. Work on becoming a whole and complete person and not relying on someone else to make you happy.
Hi please don't feel that way ...no one is worth it if that person isn't with you it's cause god has other plans for you. I was in a similar situation years ago my ex boyfriend left me to get married in arrange marriage ...but no one is worth it for you to take your life...time will heal you and make you strong...trust God's timing ask him for godly man it's the best thing we can do as humans...trust god...your worth it...
Got rejected recently by a friend who I really trusted and liked, but this presentation made me realize that it was a "protection" to save myself from a person who's been taking advantage of my generosity. I can feel the temporary loneliness fading away while the courage to love myself and challenge new obstacles grow back again. Thank you very much for sharing this content, this is definitely what I needed.

I’ve been rejected a lot, but until I loved myself and god more importantly…I was lost. We all are guilty of mistakes. Myself included! I have cut off people bc I went through so much abuse and trauma…it was hard to trust and I had a borderline mom so it’s been hard to navigate human emotions, including my own. Hurt people hurt others. I am still a work in progress but with God, I feel like I can heal and move forward. I think when you love yourself and his, the right people come into your life! I pray I can move forward and continue to heal! Wishing that for all of us!!!

I've spent 3 years trying to make friends in my community (I moved here about 3 years ago). I have been rejected by every person I'd hoped would become a friend. My last of about a dozen rejections came three weeks ago when my housemate (I live in a roominghouse) told me, "I could never be friends with you. You're too boring. I can't stand boring people.". This talk made me consider if any of these people would have made good friends if they had accepted me. Probably not. This could be an example of "Protection by rejection.". I now believe that God has much better friends waiting to meet me somewhere sometime. Thank you for suggesting that possibility.
@Laurie J. Don't feel bad. It's a matter of time, good things are waiting for you. I wish you all the best

I can relate. I lived almost my entire life in the same area… And I still barely have any friends. Women in particular are very difficult to befriend for some reason.
This is my story. They use to say "You act like a white girl". I tried changing so much and it never helped. You have to love yourself first and foremost.
So agree. Glad you've found peace in being YOU!

Exactly what I needed to hear! It's still impossibly painful when family, particularly the parents, show rejection though. I finally flat out said "I'm done. No matter what I do, I will never be enough with you, so I will no longer prove my integrity to you" I've become the outcast of my entire family simply because I finally learned to set boundaries (it only took me 53 years). To this day I have no idea what I did to deserve this. I didn't drink, party, do drugs, nothing. My sisters did but they're the ones who are respected. I was the workaholic and the designated driver. What's wrong with this picture? It's beyond painful, but I'm okay because I have the love and respect of my #1 - my son, and my friends - even from my ex in-laws and I've been divorced 27 years!
I experience the same, also with my siblings. Whatever I do, I will be nothing to them anyway, I don't understand how they can do this to their own daughter, sister ... but it is. Thank God you have a son, there are rejected people who have no one ...
you were the family scapegoat. look up narcissistic abuse videos on you tube. usually the most decent, empathic person in the family is used as a punching bag. its meant to be crazymaking and have you question your sanity.

@@sweetchestnut How did you get out of it?
A rejection isn't always about you. Sometimes it has nothing to do with you not being good enough, or your race, color, class, or creed. Yes, your feelings will get hurt, and you will experience those negative emotions brought on by rejection. Remember, people have insecurities that they contend with. Sometimes it's easier to pass those negative feelings on to others rather than facing them(projection). If you're feeling rejected. It doesn't mean that you're not good enough. To the right person, you'll always be good enough, but the wrong person will never see your true worth.

I'm going to cry Darryl, Thank you... It's like you lifted a weight off of my shoulders.. I've always been battling with rejection since I was a kid, and you made me think maybe it is a good thing... Maybe I just dodged a bullet.. ♡ Love & blessings
Being judged and rejected by family and community from a past that has no relevance in my life today really makes life more difficult. It really exposes how the majority of people live in hypocrisy and will protect their ego obove anything regardless of being guilty of the same things themselves.
i recently learned from the rejection that i experienced and might want to share it here.
i was rejected from my dream job although i had worked by best, had sleepless nights, overworked myself to study, even didnt renew my working contract to focus on my dream job... the moment of the truth hurt so bad that i seek professional help and questioned my self worth... started blaming other candidates, the system transparency, and more things to blame.
then i asked my senior who had failed 4 times on that job and decided to pursue other career. despite his choice in life, he asked me "you have failed ONLY once, right? why would ONE time stop you?"
and it helped me to be back on track and restart again. now that i restart, i see the flaws i didn't notice back then, find where i lacked and how to overcome them, and eventually see the bigger picture with hopefully a better strategy.
to this point, i see it neither as a projection nor protection.. but rather as a chance to learn and improve myself. it took time, months of feeling defeated and unworthy... but once i see on the bright side, things start to fall into place again and i could pick myself up again.
if you dont feel like its either a projection/protection.. maybe it has some other good purpose that you will later find out.
I love this video. Rejection is protection that preserves you from what you don't belong to and adjusts your life into its right way. I really believe in our God, that he is working and following us every day, in every moment. The moment you are rejected, someone is helping you!
I've yet to see any good come out of all my rejections. All rejections lead to more bad things and heartache.
Every time we are rejected, that means the Lord has something better for us to come.

This man is a hero. Thank you so much for what you do.
I’m going through massive depression right now. But simply watching this video has helped immensely. I’m so grateful people like you exist in this world.
Is it okay to cry as a thirty year old?
I am 46yrs old and it okay to cry. I agreed with you -- he is a hero, cause like you I am depress and is believing I will become strong within myself. What he has said and what you wrote is so helpful to me.
I don’t know your belief or your faith if you have one… but if you do, call out to God! Tell him how you’re feeling and ask Him to walk you through this season to come out to the other side!! How you’re feeling now IS NOT the end!! It’s ok to cry😌 Crying is liberating but give your problems to God and he’ll take the pain away!
Absolutely! You are loved!
It's not only okay to cry, but it's healthy. Our bodies don't have this emotional coping mechanism within us to just be suppressed, it's our natural way of feeling emotional pain and shouldn't be fought. Next time you feel yourself crying, don't judge yourself or try to stop it, let yourself feel what you're feeling ❤️
It's definitely okay! Hope you're okay.

I was fired and rejected from a company. I was laughed and teased by many friends. I was centre of being a joke and always chased to fit with these people. I was rejected from many companies that I applied to. I came close and lost the opportunities. That’s why I’m grateful today for those moments weren’t meant for me. It’s a form of protection & projection I faced. That’s when it’s good to be yourself and define your career again.
I have been depressed and lost for about 5 years due to a very painful rejection I experienced from the ones I loved. The more I got closer to God the more I realized I was the way I was because of my fear of rejection and this video has set me free from acting in such a way! Thank you so much for this video! It helped so much and I will always be grateful that you shared you experience with all of us! God bless you!
If a group of people don't invite you, it's not always because they feel insecure, sometimes it's because they don't like you being around them. Talking bad about someone is also not always because you feel insecure, sometimes you really notice some actual bad habits of some people and you discuss it with others because you want to know if others also get bothered by it. The strongest thing anyone can do is look over those bad habits and replace themselves in the other person, and try to imagine how you would feel if that was you. But sometimes people just are in the wrong group, if you keep inviting someone and you keep getting irritated by them, the annoyance to that person will accumulate. I don't really know how anyone can ever change that? if anyone has an answer to this question, I would much appreciate you telling me. I believe this is one of the most difficult social problems, and one that occurs a lot.
Great talk! It included one of the key things I learnt in 2019;
Do not allow other people to project their insecurities onto you!

BEST TED TALK EVER!! Rejection can be either Projection or Protection. YES. WISDOM!!!
Rejection is our friend! Not our enemy. Once we get that figured out, life would be so much easier. I wish I could master this one. Your talk has inspired me to look at daily situations differently!!!
Wow. Thanks! Glad it was helpful!
This fellow knows what he says! I was rejected many times. Just there are people that hate everybody who is different.
True, rejection is my friend,i achieved alot from rejection than when accepted. When you feel you belong, you condone alot of nonsense.
I love you Amy.. Thank you
so inspiring....you almost made me cry, thank you for those wise words, it made me reconsider the meaning of every moment of rejection that I´ve experienced in my own life. Projection and protection, that's what they are. ❤
Wonderful talk. Important for people to hear…and UNDERSTAND. I was the odd little girl who moved every year or two due to my Fathers Military assignments. Being introduced in the middle of a school year as “the new girl” in the class became a humiliating experience that had me withdraw and avoid making friends because next year I’d be leaving them. I used to view this as a terrible thing I was subjected to… now, I understand being the “outsider” in the school helped me become a strong, independent, and successful woman. As Mr. Stinson states - we can use the rejection we face as a tool to improve our lives. He’s a powerful man who is gentle enough to share his story with the rest of us. ❤🙏
Powerful word! God will turn everything around for your good.
Thank you sir!
No. He did. God had very little to do with it.
No , god never did anything good so that's way I never likes god.
If god will turn everything around then why does god need humanity to do it?
What did I learn today - bad things happen, bad people happen, God's children, but Satan has a field day with us sometimes. Rejection is something I ultimately have no control over, but if it's up to me to give them a nudge to overthink their entire act, then I serve, Halleluja. See, what I do have control over, is my own reaction.
"I wonder if the next level of your success, is lock beneath your most painful moment of rejection?", dang! That hits me hard, though. But I'm gonna try my best, wish me luck
It feels very weird to be rejected and then victimized. Thanks for this video. Rejection is projection and protection.
You have the power to create your future with the choices that you make today.
Great advice! Reminds me a bit of the saying,
“Life doesn’t give you the people you want, it gives you the people you need. To help you, to hurt you, to leave you, to love you and to make you the person you were meant to be.”
A must listen to for all generations
Anti bullying is not working
Resiliency is the key to overcoming rejection
Daryl captures its concept brilliantly
Enjoy
Yes. Resiliency with a purpose and the right perspective is key!
I get rejected so many times on a regular basis in every area of my life that I have become jaded. It does not surprise me or shock me. It does however throw me more and more into a numbness and makes me isolate myself even more.
Now that's what you call a great presentation, real life experience. He extract from the past experience, to navigate his future. God bless you my brother

"Sometimes talking bad about others makes people feel good about themselves" ....that hit home. NEVER again will I allow someone's rejection of me to change who I am. I now look at rejection as projection and protection. Thank you God.
Rejection was my biggest healer.. Finding my selfworth.. 🙏💕
That was POWERFUL!!! 🙌🏽🙌🏽 Loved this . His truth his transparency!! KeepGoing
Someone who I became attached to had left me and made me feel rejected. They also once told me that they would take a bullet for me. Now I realize, they were the bullet, and I dodged it. This is what I needed to hear. Your first point of rejection=projection was also very helpful. Thank you!
My jaw dropped. One of the best speeches I've heard, if not the best. Thank you so much!
I know right! It was sooooo good.
What an amazing mind shift: viewing rejection as a catalyst and not a life-stopper! Man, I wish I had heard this years ago. This gives me so much to think about. And your delivery was beautifully succinct. KUDOS and THANKS to you!
Thank you for the feedback and cheers. Feel free to share with the world!
AMEN X 1000!!! This is what I'm needing. Looking for the power to be found in rejection. Rejection as protection. Rejection as empowerment. I can get over this! I will feel better. Life will be good. I will find love and excitement.
I know of a man who could help you restore back your relationship either your ex or soulmate
He was the one who helped me in restoring back my ex partner three days ago without delay

Wow, wow, wow! I love, love, loved this talk! So insightful! Thank you Darryl!
I don’t have to live a tortured life ? This talk has leveled me up !
Yes! Get out that victim mindset! You are the one thing in your own way. The one thing we have 100% control over is how we choose to think and feel towards a situation ❤
And just like that...I am out of my rut. Thank you.
Wow. Glad the message impacted you!
Great stuff! i just got pronto rejected from a job. and this is great regroup session to think through and get inspired by. Rejection is an opportunity to get better!

This talk is loads of wisdom zipped into one. Timeless and resourceful! Thanks, Darryll!
Lov-ed it! I'm still looking to find out what this rejection is all about, and your message was confirmation of my joy and peace I felt today because of it.
Glory be to God for this feeling to choose to be happy in the midst of it all!!!
This is an outstanding concept! Rejection DOES so often mean protection and redirection. I speak to college kids and this is a concept they NEED to understand and embrace.
Spread the message :-)
Rejection directs you down the path of depression
you come across some videos on youtube that make you think "ahhhhhh, this is so inspiring and relatable". This is one of them
This was one of the most powerful and moving things I have ever seen. Thank you so much for giving so many people such helpful insight through your TED talk
I am so glad I found this video, it was right on time. I saved it to my "watch later" and forgot about it a couple of days ago.
Last night, I couldn't sleep. I had had an incident of being rejected by 3 coworkers a few months ago and lately it's been on my mind. Filled with anger, hurt, thoughts of getting revenge, etc.. (I'm not the type to get revenge but will admit, I do get bad thoughts and how to repay those who have hurt me. ) Just when I was about to write in my journal on how I was feeling, my husband woke up and hugged me and asked if I was okay? I just started crying. I told him how I was feeling and my thoughts towards these women.
My first encounter with being rejected started when I was little and throughout the years, it doesn't seem to ever stop. It has gotten to the point of being too much for me to bare and feeling I can't take it any more. I now suffer with anxiety, depression and suicidal thoughts which started 4 years ago.(I'm now 42)
This morning when I went to CZcams this was the first video that popped up. It was such a blessing and definitely something I needed to hear.
It was not by accident each one of us watching came across this video. This video has definitely given me a different perspective on how we should view rejection.
May we see those that have rejected us, as hurting people. Hurt people, hurt people.
Blessings to each and everyone of you that is battling with rejection, you are not alone! 🤗
