They may be old school now but they were new school to a 15 year old in 1975. This song was playing in the background while I was experiencing all the joys and despairs of being a teenager. It makes me remember the way I used to feel (Is that a song? I think that is a song) Anyway, thank you Professor for analyzing the playlist of my life. Love your channel!

I just discovered this analysis today. Where have i been? I am so glad you are analyzing this great song. I loved the three part, harmonies of Orleans -- always in tune -- , and their tasty musical arrangements (that guitar/melodica lick at the end is so good!). You don't hear many melodica solos in pop music, but it gives a very unique flavor. I loved the softer side of Orleans as well as their rockier side with John and Larry's dueling electric guitars.. Their lyrics were always uplifting. So many great songs, not just the hits.. One of my favorite bands of all time. Was so sorry to hear that Larry Hoppen is no longer with us...Thanks, Fil. You have such impeccable taste in music and a great way of explaining why a song is as good as it is. Much gratitude to you.

John Hall went to Congress for a district in Ulster County, NY, which includes Woodstock in 2007 and served a second term, leaving in 2011. He also did a tremendous amount for the environment, organizing a group to fight a nuclear plant that was planned to be put on the Hudson River, among other efforts. He's a great musician, but also a terrific citizen.

This is a wonderful example of how excellent bands were in the 70's! Please check out England Dan and John Ford Coley doing "I'd Really Love To See You Tonight" live on Midnight Special, it is soooo awesome :)

Ah, the ole slow dancing songs of the mid-70s that were played in Junior High gyms all over America. Those dances on Friday nights, kept me in trouble. ;-)

LOVE your appreciation of the old masters, Fil. 👍❤
When I see that you have a video from the 60s or 70s to analyze, I usually hit the like button RIGHT AWAY!! I already know that I'm going to enjoy it, as I'm old school myself. Keep up the good work, and ROCK ON. 💕💕

Walk Off the Earth had a melodica played in their video version of Happy. Great song. I saw Orleans in 1974 when they were touring for their first album. Great stuff.

Hi Fil great song. You sure do us a wonderful service! 👏 I admire your professionalism and your good heart. I'm so glad you are bringing out your guitar a lot more and adding your vocals. I don't think you know just how good you are Fil. I've been thinking Fil and I got an idea. When you were singing "Dance with me" if you wanted to demonstrate further I could come and we could dance to this song. lol. Well I thought it was a good idea anyway. Oh my I am still having computer problems, I don't know how long this computer will last. Stay safe & healthy. Have a good day Fil. love ya❤💕😍🤗
