Professor Tenpa Rabten (bstan pa rab brtan) is a famous contemporary thangka painter of the Menri school and Tibetan university professor in Lhasa. He is classily trained thanga painter and was appointed as a professor in the School of Art at Tibet University in 1985 to trian a new generation of thangka. He has published few celebrated book about Tibetan Thangka.
