Everyone is told that a couple of thousand soldiers died during the war, although in fact tens of thousands. Everyone is told that their opponent hates them (although now it probably is). Both are told that the enemy is to blame. Ukrainian media, as well as Russians, post a lot of fake videos and photos. The same bombing of the maternity hospital, where a special actress and model from Ukraine was filmed (she played the injured pregnant women). Recently there were videos of the bombing of residential areas in Kharkiv, and in the evening it turned out that these were shots from Israel or other countries.

You are exactly the kind of person who would worship and excuse all of the emperors crimes and force other people into war. Russia had no reason to start a war in Donbass and invade Ukraine. Life in those areas was good, and they were living a better life than an average Russian on the other side of the border. The kind of propaganda currently spread in Russian TV networks is gross and disgusting. News anchors who boast about nuclear war and anihilating United Kingdom.
Also, dont forget that it was the massive, unprecedented support from the west and USA that saved Russia from the nazis.

It's weird seeing these baseless reasons people don't like countries, especially with so many videos showing how open minded a lot of Russians are. Also none said the US seems very weird.
Many of these are simply jokes or first counries they thought of. If you speak Russian you can tell by the words they use, that in some of these they are trying to make a joke out of it. No one can seriously dislike a country for not knowing where it is, it having no water or not being able to go there. I, for example, don't like UK, because I can't go there. And I don't like Nordic countries, because of their cities' architecture.
Only when you expand these questions you get the true reasoning. I like UK, but I do not like the fact, that I have to pay up to 7,000 pounds for documents alone without the guarantee of my application success. I don't like UK, because I want to move to the UK and they are being annoying with not allowing people in. And I do not like Nordic countries because of their architecture in bigger cities, they often have quite flat and unimpressive facades in comparison to France or Czech Republic. Kopenhagen is nice, but not my taste.
The problem is, that "Like" is extremely close with it's meaning to "I prefer" or "I am interested". No one is interested in the country they don't know the location of, and when you don't like a country for it's architecture it doesn't mean you dislike the architecture. You simply do not prefer it, it is not your style. Languages are fascinating, but they often create misunderstandings like that.

A few really amazing things about this. First, I was impressed with how many other countries these people had been too or known about. A lot of common Americans have never left their home state and their grasp of world geography is usually bad. I was also surprised by how candid everyone seemed to be, almost as if you knew them already. Don't want to start an argument, just want to ask one question: is there a concept of "totalitarian regime" in the West? Because in Russia, we have 3 types of regime : Democratic, Authoritarian and Totalitarian. And I have never seen anyone use "totalitarian" in the news or from other people.

They probably follow the news around the world and possess standard media literacy skills. No news source is right or wrong, you have to draw your own conclusion by reading the news from different countries, even the ones you think are "bad". You'll be surprised how different they all are. Even 2 countries is way too little. For majority of people comes the problem of language barrier since not many people speak more than 2-3 languages.

Лол это не агрессия. Украина( и ещё некоторые страны) провоцировали РФ на военный конфликт. По хорошему Россия могла напасть уже давно(например, на тот же США), но президент всегда старался найти мирный путь. Но Украина стала вести себя через чур агрессивно к РФ. Зеленский специально разжигал и без того шаткие отношения между своей страной и Россией, что и привело к подобному решению со стороны РФ. Тем самым Зеленский спровоцировал смерть многих людей. Я не поддерживаю военную операцию и мне глубоко жаль украинцев, которые не ввязывались во все эти политические игры и теперь суждены буквально выживать, из-за некомпетентности своего президента. Но я не считаю свою страну агрессором, ведь русские солдаты и Путин, стараются всеми силами закончить это, с минимальными потерями среди мирных граждан Украины.

Если бы РФ могла только убивать, то война бы шла намного быстрее, ведь мы шли бы просто напролом убивая всех и каждого. Но русские стараются эвакуировать гражданских как могут, ведь "талантливый и хороший Зеленский" отказывает в эвакуации своего народа. Это война, и убийства в любом случае будут, но если бы призидент Украины был более компетентен, то сейчас этого всего не было. Да и сами подумайте. Зачем РФ земли Украины?
