I like the fact that at 26:08, that because the world hadn't loaded a chunk in between gavin and the altar of pimps, you can see the inside of the alter and the prep already done by this point for episode 100 :P.... awesome!

I like to rewatch these classic Achievement Hunter videos occasionally, because this is when they were actually good and funny, but early Jack was a huge crybaby and almost always the reason why certain Minecraft episodes, and other games entirely, were not as enjoyable as it could have been. Fortunately, he matured eventually but it certainly took awhile for him to get over it. This particular episode is at least tolerable thanks to everybody else involved, but I always have to skip The Wall (episode 29) because he and Caleb together were just so boring and bad.
Anyone else still coming back to watch this classic a year and a half after it was first aired?

dude ive had there minecraft lps in the background since they started in like what 2012(dont really rewatch the new ones) but ive "seen" (more so listened) like 1-70 probably 100 times each lol

I would've built the glass cages and the wool roof first and left holes in the roof over each cage. Build stairs up to the roof and coax the mobs up onto the roof and into holes, then just plug the holes with wool when they fall in.

Mobs dont drop in 1x1 holes unless punched in. Better to have 2x2 with trap doors ontop. That way they walk on trap door and you can open it
Super late reply but my idea is kinda like a squirrel/raccoon trap. Have the cage with a door and on the outside of the door a pressure plate so when you walk in with the monster following you the door opens and closes with the monster trapped inside. Then all you have to do is make sure to block up the other entrance as you walk out
Ray is so hype in this video, definitely the best ray

Yeah I'm rewatching all these now that AH has ended and holy shit Jack is actively such a baby in these earlier ones. He gets better and he's genuinely a good guy irl but in these games he just focuses on winning and doesn't care if the video is good or not. Like he'll quietly strategise while everyone else strategises out loud for the benefit of the viewer. And he'll complain about other people doing things and then do those things himself, a great example is potions part 2 he complains that Gavin isn't trying to win but he's just trying to stop others from winning, and then in the very next one (Clouds) he does exactly that by standing still and shooting arrows at everyone else. And he insists on these bad jokes like the butterfly thing that weren't funny the first time and definitely didn't get funnier with repetition
