Idk guys but if I would find a strange object in the middle of the woods that magically eradiate heat and melted the snow around it, I would run as fast as possible in the other direction and not go for a cuddle with it.

The clue is right there in the fact that it RADIATes heat. In other words, radiation; IR specifically and MAYBE other things.

Not just Soviet Union, but any area that had industrial, millitary or medical facilities and even mining operations, they are all the places where there can be something radioactive.

people really forget physics fundamentals. that heat/energy doesn't come from nowhere, and if i CANT see where its coming from (for example like fire) then its invisible to human eyes and extraordinarily dangerous. this is an assumption anyone with basic survival knowledge should be able to make. i've nearly frozen to death before on hunting expeditions and from that experience i would rather die that way than having my body literally melt around me while i'm used as a study case for undergrads.

During the 50s to late 80s Sweden had thousands of military stash hideouts in the forest all over the country with guns ammo and explosives in case of a soviet invasion. When the Soviet Union collapsed Sweden pretty much dismantled all its military. And some of these stashes were forgotten and are still uncovered.
