As a way of wrapping up and putting a bow on my month long series "30 Eighties Metal Riffs In 30 Days" I thought it would be cool to line them all up and let you see each riff in the order it appeared during the series, and without any chit chat in between.
So there are no teaching explanations or TAB here, if you want those go find the riff you are looking for in the series playlist and you'll be in business. Another thing to know is that there ended up being 42 riffs in 30 days because I squeezed in 13 riffs on day 30...because that's how I roll :-)

Man that brought back memories. There is great metal today still being written. But nothing, nothing will ever have the chunky heavy riffs of the 80s. Wish I hadn't grown old.

I remember Y&T mean streak from Nascar 2000 to bad that game disc was scratched because it's an excellent game with a great soundtrack from blues traveler.
All my fav riffs. What a coincidence? You even know Lillian Axe, Blue Murder, Babylon A.D, Dangerous Toys, Leatherwolf and stuff. Very good. The tone is perfect for 80s riffs. I enjoyed it a lot! Special thanx for White Lion! Though I wish you'd include some Fifth Angel, House of Lords, Firehouse, Danger Danger, Warrant, Extreme, Poison, Mr Big (ah well you have Racer X), Sleeze Beez, Faster Pussycat, Kix, Trixter, Shotgun Messiah, Signal, Giant, Blue Tears.

Great video. Very clean playing. I tend to play with a lot of distortion and high trouble, but your sound sounds awesome. What do you usually have your settings at? Do you use overdrive pedal in addition to the distortion that's on the amp itself?
Hi, thanks for watching. I actually don’t use a ton of gain, helps keep the signal cleaner. I’ll usually set my amp to a moderate level of gain, AC/DC ish and then hit it with a boost pedal or something like a Boss SD-1 to bring me into hard rock and metal territory, but even then the amount of gain I’m using is not overboard. I can still hear all the notes of my chords for example. I also don’t like a super treble heavy sound, so I’ll boost mids instead and keep the treble about half way up. Hope that helps!

Nice choice of riffs Nick! If I could pick just 2 ,say lesser known riffs, I would of liked to hear Accepts midnight mover, and Riots Flight of the warrior. Awesome playing by the way, ticks me off I can't play that dam first riff in modern day cowboy. Ugh! Lol

Yes I make my own backing tracks. A lot of my older lessons, especially solos, have backing tracks you can download. For the newer stuff I’ve started to include backing for riffs and solos over on my Patreon page. I might go back through some of the older riff lesson and make some backing tracks for those too on Patreon. Check it out, it’s only $5 a month.

why even do this with no tabs? we want to learn new chords and licks we need tabs. we have are own albums we can listen to you know. were are the real teachers who put tabs on screen so we a least pick up our guitars and play along. I dont care what you can do by showing off really, there are concerts on youtube for that. you want views? put tabs on screen, you will get millions of views.
If you would have read the description in the video you would know that all of these riffs have separate videos WITH TAB. But you were too lazy to read that the video was simply a celebration of all the videos I had done for 30 days straight so people could watch it and be inspired.
Not that your comment deserves an answer, but that is why I did this video…if you want the TAB for each look them up on my channel…I even created a freaking playlist for them. Unbelievable!
