My wife and I were hanging out after hours at the Capital Audiofest last year and I was asked by one of the vendors for something good to play. I told him to put on the first track from the most recent album and it really blew everyone’s minds. I remember people sitting there in awe, and then immediately adding the album to their playlists. Such a huge loss.

I've played Low tracks at a few HiFi shows. If the moment is right it's astonishing how deeply it will touch the audience.

Low is a band that I feel just got better and better over their decades-long career - a real rarity in the industry. I had the pleasure of seeing them live several times, the last of which was in a century old church. It was indeed a religious experience. RIP

The Great Destroyer album should go dow as one of the best studio recordings of music history. The sound is so live and perfect. Sad to hear the news. Lucky enough to hear a Low Christmas concert in a chapel in London. What an experience.

Mimi Parker's death felt devastating. The music of Low, particularly "Things We Lost in the Fire" and the soul-wrenching "Trust", is so moving and meaningful to me. I interviewed Alan and he participated in one of my Portland art-music projects long ago, but never got to meet Mimi Parker. What a talent. As someone who (apparently) shares a mental illness diagnosis with Alan, I also just plain worry about him and his family - not that these are folks I really know. I feel for them anyway, and I hope they find comfort and solace in their grief.

She was really special indeed. Goosebump city when listening to their music. How incredibly sad for her to pass at such a young age, but also what an astonishing gift she left for humanity to cherish.

I remember putting Secret Name on my birthday list as a teenager. That was the start of an enduring relationship to Low's music, for me. I feel that Mimi carried the depth, soul & fragility of the human experience in her every word & breath. We will never forget your BEAUTIFUL contribution, dearest Mimi, brave and true 💖

I am truely sad by her passing. She was more of a poet than a musician imo. My condolences goes to Alan, she was his first love from high school and they have been soul mates ever since. More than a partner to each other but lifetime companion and I could not fathom the pain he must be feeling now who he spent most of his life living and making music together. I would be devastated if this means the end for Low because they are my favourite band of all time. I have lot of memories with Low. My first date ever with a girlfriend, we listened to Low and I remember her crying. Since I became an audiophile later in my music journey, Low always has been on top of my list when I audition a pair of speaker and that included yours John. As a o/96 owner, Low really touched my soul more than ever through you speakers and I have to thank you for that. Btw great song choice at the end. Low's Down by the river is the best cover from any band by far. Low covered so many great songs and I even prefer their version to some of the originals such as Transmission by Joy Division. Great Ep. My current partner was also shocked by this news since we were just talking passionately about how great Low is, just the day before her passing. Rest in peace Mimi parker.

Some would call this Slow music, some people would call it noise. I would call it Art in a true modern Jazz form. People think too much of themselves these days more then what's going on around themselves. Just Stop, Catch Your Breath. See the World around You... "It's bigger than You think!" ...
