I was about to start up the grind in North Vancouver yesterday and thought , what do I want to listen to? I’d heard Spaceship Superstar on a shitty little alarm clock radio the night before and thought Ya, Prism. Quickly downloaded “Over sixty minutes with Prism”, cranked it up and started up. What a cool experience. I’d forgotten how great this band was. Man they had a lot of great songs. Took me back to the 80s growing up in Vancouver with the clubs the girls and even the coke. Thank you Prism, for helping the good times along.
I have the 8 track and numerous cassettes of Prism AND, get this the original VINYL, never played. Man, I'm dating myself. I miss all those great Canadian bands.
I was the label rep that got this on the CKLW playlist. Music Director Rosalie Trombley added it. Prism was very big in Southeastern Michigan, metro Detroit and Flint Saginaw.
Ronnie may have had some issues that caused hard feelings in the band, but they were never the same without him. R.I.P. to one of the best rock vocalists of all time.
Agreed, one hundred percent. I don't think the band did nearly enough to deal with those issues and I'll always wonder what great things we could have heard from PRiSM: the Ron Tabak era and the definitive five line-up, especially knowing that they may have re-united if not for Ron's terrible bicycle accident and the immediate aftermath in the hospital.
I've been binge listening to PRISM. I forgot how good they were! I've only heard little bits about Ron here and there. I am seriously curious what his issues were and why they fell out. They were so freakin' good. I read some things in chat lines but I don't want repeat rumours. @@elizabethmiller7291
And then there are the great ones. The truly great ones. Those people are like great running backs or great boxers..they only come around every 10 to 15 years or so.
I’ve been been binge listening to these guys for a week now. I forgot how damn good they were. It was over as soon as they kicked Ron Tabak out of the band I don’t care what his issues were. They should’ve found a way to make it work. so underrated and shouldn’t be just an asterick in rock history.

Don't forget these Canadian artist: The guess Who, April Wine, Brian Adams, Loverboy, Aldo Nova, Exciter, Anvil, Helix, Bachman Turner Overdrive, Mahogony Rush, Neil Young, Glass Tiger. That's all I've got.....anyone else?

Where is this?? I Saw em,right up front,Penticton B.C. @ The Peach Bowl 1980,opening act,Loverboy, touring on their 1st album. Yes,was Great!! NO prism without Tabak, give up touring as prism harlow, its a joke!!
Good live rendition of this, but what the hell do they need with the damn horns??? They're a kick ass rock-n-roll band, not fucking Chicago or Steely Dan. Shit....
matt thecat I knew the boys of Prism and I told 3 of them when they let Ron go ..... they were FOOLS to do so! Ron made that band PERIOD... Henry Small even tried to cash in on his version of Prism and bombed! So there. Ron was a wonderful man and does not deserve to have insults here or anywhere regarding him. Al is very lucky to still be able to continue on with his version of Prism. He too is a good man and I continue to support him. Ron was incredible LIVE his voice and his charisma made PRISM. They died the day they released him! Your entitled to your opinion.... all you had to say is... you like Henry Small better. That is not insulting who made PRISM!
I was a teenager back then and after all these years I still cannot get over how amazing his voice is, just fantastic! RIP Ron Tabak.
Anyone still listening to this great band in 2024?

I have the 8 track and numerous cassettes of Prism AND, get this the original VINYL, never played. Man, I'm dating myself. I miss all those great Canadian bands.

I saw Prism in 2010 in Edmonton, my stepdad and I were rocked all night , easily one of Canada’s greatest !! 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Seen these guys in Halifax form 1980 if I can remember back that far The Pumps opened for them what a great show.
Just awesome. Thanks for posting. What a classic.
Ron Tabak, you are sorely missed!!

Prism...one of the best Canadian Rock Bands! Thank you for posting this song!! Brings back a lot of memories.
best voice
💋❤Takes me back to good times.
I am so glad that these exist.
Amo as músicas dessa banda, acho que sou o único Brasileiro que conhece essa banda, uma das melhores, pena Ron ter falecido, RIP Ron 😢😢😢😢😢
The singer always makes the band.A lot of great guitarists out there but vocalists, good ones, are hard to come by.
And then there are the great ones. The truly great ones. Those people are like great running backs or great boxers..they only come around every 10 to 15 years or so.
Robert Lepine The same goes for guitarists. There’s a ton of ok players but not a lot of super talented ones. The ones that don’t play just covers.
It’s pretty much in every instrument,....... every once in awhile a “ Jewel” comes along...............😎👌👍🌟
WOW, Thanks for this .... Adding this amazing man's voice to your repertoire...
love it when music gets passed down, thank you! xox
BTW , I subscribed! lol

The best Canadian rock singer ever. Better than Geddy, Myles Goodwyn, Kenny Shields, and all the other great canadian bands' lead singers.
Yes he was great but do we always have to get into the whos better crap? I know it's a big word and concept for you to grasp but BEST is subjective.
too bad hes dead,man
Ron is dead. Not right.
Good live rendition of this, but what the hell do they need with the damn horns??? They're a kick ass rock-n-roll band, not fucking Chicago or Steely Dan. Shit....
Ron was good but Henry had it all over this w\hen he was with'em
Agreed. And Henry sung their biggest hit. Damned shame- they should have been bigger than they were.
best Prism song (to me) is 'WingsOf Your Love'-gives me chills when he steadily grabs the high notes-never get tired of listening to it
Ron was Prism, simple as that you Moron.
