- The Vancouver Canucks fall to the Arizona Coyotes by a final score of 4-3 in OT, Elias Pettersson, Cono Garland, JT Miller all with goals and now the Edmonton Oilers are even closer to the Canucks in the standings, the game on saturday is going to be absolutely HUGE!

That last 10ish minutes of the 3rd period is what I want to see out of this team come playoff time. Canucks started absolutely dominating just before that shift where Garland scored. They couldn’t get a 4th before the end of regulation, but good god they turned on their afterburners and took over that entire ice surface.
It looked like the boys had a fun game tonight tho..Quinn broke 90 tonight!

I was at this game. Watching those refs make those calls, live, was horrendous. The Canucks were playing against 2 opponents last night. Petey looked small and overthinking his decisions. When he finally decided to shoot he scores, so hoping he can find his confidence back. Huge shout out to the crowd last night. They were loud and made their thoughts known to the refs. Big game Saturday. Winner of that match will come out tops in the Pacific.
Was at the game today, the mood shift in the arena felt really awful at the end of the game. Can’t imagine what it felt like for the players 😬
the boos in the arena after the penalty causing the 5 on 3 louder than the cheers for the miller goal, fans were PISSED
Not gonna lie the nucks have been fighting the refs recently. It’s hard to win 1v2.
I agree it’s been rough, but this game the refs gave us a lot of PP’s AND A PENALTY SHOT TO END IT and we couldn’t score, there really is no excuse…
@@Ryan-ve7le I don’t give the refs credit for making the right calls when they are obvious then making phantom calls against the nucks. Its BS. They blatantly missed a trip on I think it was lafferty early because they had already called 2 againts arizona then called an obviously wrong interference call on myers. Evening up calls when one team is clear commiting penalties and other team isn’t is complete bullshit.

There were two absolutely egregious calls that game. The one in OT was crazy they called that. The stick did contact his thigh but he toepicked and fell over. To put a team down a man in OT for that is insane.

I seriously don’t care if they get swept in the playoffs, I just hope they don’t let the Coilers finish first in the Pacific. The Coilers have the most toxic fans out of any Canadian team. I remember how sad it was when they were gifted McDavid in 2015 after getting three first overall picks not too long ago.

almost would be better to get a powerplay instead of the penalty shot (no disrespect to hronek) sometimes the breakaway is better then the penalty shot when you dont have time to think
and not to mention it would of negated their powerplay....

Canucks are 2-2 against Vegas, Oilers are now 2-1. Canucks are 3-0 against the Oilers. Some teams just match up better than others.

@@robertcampbell8070 Are you serious? The Canucks faced the Oilers in the beginning of the season, when the team was struggling under Woodcroft. Ever since Knoblauch and Paul Coffey took over, the Oilers are a completely different team. Those three early wins mean nothing now, because you’re ignoring the fact that the Oilers are a way better team since the coaching change. Meanwhile, you can argue that the Canucks have regressed from the strong start they had to the season.

Remember all those clowns saying that Edmonton can’t pass us, they are now 4 points back with two games in hand. They destroyed Vegas today without McDavid. There’s absolutely no way we beat them on Saturday with the way we are playing now and the fact that Demko will likely not play. This team should be ashamed of themselves for allowing the Oilers to reduce the gap to nothing. All Tocchet can do is put lines in a blender and make faces on the bench. I don’t blame Silovs at all, this team should’ve never let the game go into overtime in the first place.

Bruh, this team should’ve beaten a team like the Coyotes even if Silovs was not good in net. When they let this game go into extra time and then took a dumb penalty in OT, Silovs isn’t at fault.
